Waimate Plains District Boundary Definition Notice 1988

Pursuant to section 48 of the Local Government Act 1974, the Secretary for Local Government gives the following notice:

1. This notice may be cited as the Waimate Plains District Boundary Definition Notice 1988.

2. The boundary of Waimate Plains District is hereby defined as set out in the Schedule hereto, that boundary having been established by the Waimate West County - Manawatu Town Union Order 1987, which was published in the New Zealand Gazette, 24 September 1987, No. 163, page 4443, and which came into force on 1 October 1987.

Waimate Plains District

All that area in the Taranaki Land District, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea coast, being the south-eastern corner of Oeo E, situated in Block III, Oeo Survey District, and proceeding north-easterly along the eastern boundary of Oeo E to South Road (State Highway 45); thence north-westerly along the south side of that road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Oeo B; thence northerly to and along that boundary to the southern boundary of Ngatimanaahuaora 1; thence westerly along that boundary, and its production to the middle of Oeo Stream; thence in a generally northerly direction up the middle of the said stream to Sheet Road; thence westerly along the southern side of that road to a point in line with the western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 15478; thence northerly to and along that boundary, the western boundaries of part Section 39, Block XIV, Opunake Survey District, and Lot 2, D.P. 15478, to the southern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 9270; thence easterly along that boundary, and northerly along the eastern boundaries of Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 9270, Sections 32, 31 and 30, Block XIV, Opunake Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of Section 30, Block XIV, aforesaid; thence easterly along a production of the northern boundary of that section, to and along the northern boundaries of Sections 8 and 18, Block XIII, Kaupokonui Survey District, and the last-mentioned boundary produced across Auroa Road to the northern boundary of Section 1, Block XIV, Kaupokonui Survey District; thence again easterly along that boundary and the northern boundaries of Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 2769, and the last-mentioned boundary produced across Mangawhero Road to the northern boundary of Section 18, Block XIV, aforesaid; thence again easterly along that boundary and the northern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 6269, and its production across Rowan Road to the northern boundary of Section 35, Block XIV, Kaupokonui Survey District; thence again easterly along that boundary and the northern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 3110, to the western side of Maniaia Road; thence by a right line across Maniaia Road to the north-western corner of Section 1, Block XV, aforesaid being a point on the southern side of Neil Road; thence easterly along the southern side of Neil Road and its production to the middle of Palmer Road; thence southerly along the middle of that road, and its production across Skeet Road; thence again southerly along the middle of Palmer Road to a point in line with the southern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 9598; thence westerly to and along that boundary to the eastern boundary of Ngatimanuahukaial 21B2A; thence southerly along that boundary and the eastern boundary of Ngatimanuahukaial 21B2B to the eastern boundary of Ngatimanuahukaial 15B; thence southerly along that boundary and the eastern boundaries of Ngatimanuahukaial 15A1B, to a point in line with the middle of Inaha Road,

hence southerly down the middle of that road, Normanby Road, and again Inaha Road, and its production to the mean high-water mark of the sea; thence proceeding generally westerly along the mean high-water mark to the point of commencement.

Public Works Act 1981

Land Acquired for the Purposes of the Fire Services Act 1975 in the City of Nelson

Pursuant to section 20 of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Acting District Solicitor, Department of Lands, Wellington, hereby declares that, an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby acquired for the purposes of the Fire Services Act 1975 and shall vest in the New Zealand Fire Service Commission on the 24th day of November 1988.

Pursuant to section 20 of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Acting District Solicitor, Department of Lands, Wellington, declares that, an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby acquired for Maori housing purposes and shall vest in the Crown on the 24th day of November 1988.
