Notice
This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Rodney County) Notice No. 2, 1988.
The road specified in the Schedule is declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
So much of the Traffic (Rodney County) Notice No. 3, 1987, signed on the 22nd day of May 1987*, which relates to the road in the Schedule below issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976 is revoked.

Approval of Defensive Driving Organisations
Pursuant to section 48 (2) (a) of the Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986, and to section 39 (a) of the Transport Act 1962; and pursuant to a delegation given by the Secretary for Transport in an instrument dated the 2nd day of November 1987, I, Timothy John Sanger, General Manager Land Transport, hereby approve the following organisations to be defensive driving organisations for the purposes of section 68 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 32 (2) of the Transport (Driver Licensing) Regulations 1987:

The Water Recreation (Lake Kaniere) Notice 1988
I, Thomas Edwin Law, Senior Advisory Officer (Harbours Management), pursuant to the Water Recreation Regulations 1979 and in exercise of powers delegated to me pursuant to sections 8 and 9 of the Ministry of Transport Act 1968, hereby give the following notice:

- (a) This notice may be cited as the Water Recreation (Lake Kaniere) Notice 1988.
(b) This notice shall come into force 14 days after publication in the New Zealand Gazette and shall remain in force until revoked in the Gazette.

Subject to conditions set out in the Second Schedule hereto, the areas specified in the First Schedule hereto shall be designated as access lanes pursuant to regulation 10 of the Water Recreation Regulations 1979.

The Motor Launch (Lake Kaniere) Notice 1975* is hereby revoked.
First Schedule
Firstly, all that area of water near Hans Bay, situated adjacent to the north eastern shore of Lake Kaniere, Block XI, Kaniere Survey District, bounded within lines as follows:
Commencing at a marker post situated at a point on the lake edge bearing 340° distant 72 metres from the mouth of Rose Creek, thence out into the lake on a bearing of 245°31′ for a distance of 214 metres, thence in a northerly direction generally parallel with the shore on a bearing 356° for a distance of 568 metres, thence on a bearing of 115°40′ for a distance of 230 metres to a post on the lakeside, to the south of the boatramp and jetty, as shown on Plan MD 16511, deposited in the Office of the General Manager (Maritime Transport), Ministry of Transport, Wellington.
Secondly, all that area of water at Sunny Bight situated adjacent to the north western shore of Lake Kaniere, Block XI, Kaniere Survey District, bounded within lines as follows:
Commencing at a marker post situated at a point on the lake edge bearing 220° distance 88 metres from the mouth of Sunny Creek, thence out into the lake on a bearing of 087° for a distance of 206 metres, thence generally parallel with the shore in a direction of 198°20′ for a distance of 613 metres, thence in a direction of 319°40′ distance 236 metres to a marker post at the lake edge, as shown on Plan MD 16512, deposited in the Office of the General Manager (Maritime Transport), Ministry of Transport, Wellington.
Second Schedule
- The two access lanes shall be marked as follows:
(a) Two 2.5 metres high transit posts with a distance of not less than 3 metres or more than 6 metres between and painted with 300 millimetre bright orange and black.
