Further details of this proposal may be obtained from the Secretary for Transport, Ministry of Transport, P.O. Box 3175, Wellington.

Any person or organisation desiring to make representations relating to this application, must forward these representations in writing to reach me on or before 12 December 1988.

Approval of Motorcycle Safety Helmets in Terms of the Traffic Regulations 1976

Pursuant to subclause (1) of regulation 88 of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to powers delegated to me by the Secretary for Transport by an Instrument of Delegation dated the 2nd day of November 1987, motorcycle safety helmets of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto are hereby approved for the purposes of regulation 31 of the said regulations.

Schedule

Safety helmets manufactured by Honglin Crown Corporation, Korea, complying with Snell Memorial Foundation Performance Standard 1985 and marked or otherwise labelled accordingly, and bearing the model designation FG-6.

Approval of Motorcycle Safety Helmets in Terms of the Traffic Regulations 1976

Any safety helmet manufactured under a Certification Mark Licence issued by the British Standards Institution to BS 6658 and marked or otherwise labelled accordingly.

Notice of Approval of Red Rear Reflectors for Specified Vehicles

Notice

Pursuant to regulation 88 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, the red rear reflectors specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby approved for the purposes of regulation 62 (2), (3), (4) and (5) of the said regulations.

Schedule

Red reflectors incorporated in tail lamp assemblies fitted as original equipment to Pontiac Le Mans KT Series motor vehicles, subject to the following specifications:

(i) Manufactured according to Korean Industrial Standard KSR 5018;

(ii) General Motors tail lamp/reflector unit part numbers are:

  • 94788082 (left assembly).
  • 94788083 (right assembly).

Pursuant to powers delegated to me by the Secretary for Transport by an Instrument of Delegation dated the 2nd day of November 1987.

Notice of Intention to Hold an Inquiry into the Operation of a Transport Licence

Roger Geoffrey Easton, Taxicab Service Licensee of 25 Willis Street, Hamilton

Take notice that the No.3 Transport District Licensing Authority (J. M. Foster), will hold an inquiry pursuant to section 140 (1) (a) (b) and (c) of the Transport Act 1962 to determine whether or not the licensee (a) no longer meets the criteria set out in section 124 of the Act or (b) has failed to comply with any term or condition of Taxicab Service Licence No. 99323 and/or has knowingly supplied false information in applying for a Taxicab Service Licence.

The inquiry will be held in the Boardroom, Waikato Electric Power Board, Anglesea Street, Hamilton on Thursday, 15 December 1988, commencing at 9.45 a.m.

Take notice that pursuant to section 140 of the Transport Act 1962, the Licensing Authority for the No. 5B Transport District will hold a public inquiry into the operation of Taxi Service Licence No. 16085.

The reason why the inquiry is to be conducted is that the Licensing Authority wishes to determine:

(a) Whether or not the licensee meets the criteria set out in section 124 of the Transport Act 1962, and—
