Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes as a Conservation Park and Declaration That the Land be Held as a Wilderness Area

First, pursuant to sections 7 (1) and 61 (3) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation declares that, the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be held for conservation purposes and shall be deemed to have been declared to be held for the purpose of a conservation park (as part of a conservation park to be known as Raukumara Conservation Park); and

Secondly, pursuant to sections 18 and 63 of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation declares that, the land in the Schedule hereto shall be held for the purposes of a wilderness area to be known as the Raukumara Wilderness Area.

Gisborne Land District—Opotiki District, Waiapu County and Waikohu County

39,650 hectares, more or less, being parts Puketauhinu 1, 1B and 2 Blocks, parts Waitahaia, Te Papatipu O Te Ngaere and Maungawaru 2 and 3 Blocks and parts Lot 7, D.P. 2479 and Lot 8, D.P. 2480, situated in Haparapara, Raukumara West, Raukumara East, Maungawaru, Hikurangi and Arowhana Survey Districts. S.O. Plan 7964.

Reserves Act 1977

Revocation of Appointment to Control and Manage a Reserve and Vesting of the Reserve in the Clutha County Council

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Southern Regional Manager hereby revokes the appointment of the Clydevale War Memorial Board to control and manage the Clydevale War Memorial Reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, and further, vests the said reserve in fee simple in The Clutha County Council in trust, for a war memorial reserve subject to the provisions of the said Act.
