Horowhenua County Boundary Definition Notice 1988

Pursuant to section 48 of the Local Government Act 1974, the Secretary for Local Government gives the following notice:

Notice

1. This notice may be cited as the Horowhenua County Boundary Definition Notice 1988.

2. The boundary of Horowhenua County is hereby defined as set out in the Schedule hereto, that boundary having been altered by the Horowhenua County - Manawatu County Boundary Alteration Order 1987, which was published in the New Zealand Gazette, 15 October 1987, No. 178, page 4714, and which came into force on 16 October 1987.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing 1516.3 square kilometres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Manawatu River in line with the south-western boundary of Section 389, Town of Fitzherbert, in Block I, Arawaru Survey District, being also the north-eastern boundary of Tuwhakatupua 1A as shown on M.L. Plan 890 and proceeding south-easterly to and along the aforesaid boundary to Trig Station Mangawarawara on the south-eastern boundary of Section 44, Town of Fitzherbert in Block I, Arawaru Survey District; thence south-easterly along a right line to the intersection of the north-eastern boundary of Section 333, Town of Fitzherbert (D.P. 316), with the western side of Scotts Road in Block VI, Arawaru Survey District; thence south-westerly and south-easterly along the north-western and south-western boundaries of the said Section 333, and the generally south-western boundaries of Sections 320 and 319, Town of Fitzherbert (D.P. 316) to a road, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary along that road to the southernmost corner of the said Section 319 (Trig Station Low Saddle); thence southerly and south-easterly along the eastern boundary of Section 10, Block X, Arawaru Survey District (D.P. 437) and its production across a road to and
