Hastings Girls’ High School Board of Governors Notice 1988
Pursuant to section 51 of the Education Act 1964, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice:
Notice
-
(i) This notice may be cited as the Hastings Girls’ High School Board of Governors Notice 1988.
(ii) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of August 1988. -
(i) The Board of Governors of Hastings Girls’ High School shall be known as the Hastings Girls’ High School Board of Governors.
(ii) The Hastings Girls’ High School Board of Governors shall be constituted as follows:
(a) One member appointed by the Hawke’s Bay Education Board.
(b) One member appointed by the teachers of Hastings Girls’ High School; but the member so elected may not be appointed as Chairman or Deputy Chairman of the board.
(c) Six members elected by the parents of pupils attending Hastings Girls’ High School.
(d) One member appointed by the Heretaunga District Council of the Maori Women’s Welfare League.
(e) Two members co-opted by the board itself, if and when it thinks fit. -
The Hastings High Schools Board of Governors Notice 1977 is hereby revoked.

Hamilton Girls’ High School Board of Governors Notice 1988
Pursuant to section 51 of the Education Act 1964, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice:
Notice
-
(i) This notice may be cited as the Hamilton Girls’ High School Board of Governors Notice 1988.
(ii) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of August 1988. -
The Board of Governors for the control of Hamilton Girls’ High School shall be known as the Hamilton Girls’ High School Board of Governors and shall be constituted as follows:
(a) One member appointed by the Hamilton Education Board.
(b) One member elected by teachers employed by the Hamilton Girls’ High School Board.
(c) One member appointed by the Council of the University of Waikato.
(d) One member appointed by the Hamilton City Council.
(e) One member elected by members of the Hamilton Girls’ High School Old Girls’ Association, or, should such an organisation cease to exist, one member co-opted by the Hamilton Girls’ High School Board of Governors.
(f) Five members elected by parents of pupils attending Hamilton Girls’ High School.
(g) Two members co-opted by the Hamilton Girls’ High School Board to represent parents of pupils attending the school. -
The Hamilton High Schools Board of Governors Order 1967* is hereby revoked.

Pursuant to section 51 of the Education Act 1964, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice:

(i) This notice may be cited as the Hamilton Boys’ High School Board of Governors Notice 1988.
(ii) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of August 1988. -
The Board of Governors for the control of Hamilton Boys’ High School shall be known as the Hamilton Boys’ High School Board of Governors and shall be constituted as follows:
(a) One member appointed by the Hamilton Education Board.
(b) One member elected by teachers employed by the Hamilton Boys’ High School Board.
(c) One member appointed by the Hamilton City Council.
(d) One member co-opted by the Hamilton Boys’ High School Board.
(e) One member elected by members of the Hamilton Boys’ High School Old Boys’ Association.
(f) Six members elected by parents of pupils attending the school.
(g) One member elected by parents of pupils enrolled in the school’s boarding hostel. -
The Hamilton High Schools Board of Governors Order 1967* is hereby revoked.

Declaration of State of Local Civil Defence Emergency
Pursuant to section 52 of the Civil Defence Act 1983, I, Barry Mitchell Dallas, hereby declare a state of local civil defence emergency to be in force in the Greymouth Borough Civil Defence area.
The state of local civil defence emergency shall come into force on the time and date of the making of this declaration.
