Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Canterbury Licensing Committee

Pursuant to section 221A (14) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962 as amended by section 22 (1) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, David Oughton, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Canterbury Licensing Committee on 10 April 1987 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the DB Riccarton Hotel, corner Riccarton Road and Deans Avenue, Christchurch.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On any Friday and Saturday—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On any Christmas Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(c) On any New Year’s Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 00.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.

Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 10) 1987

Pursuant to regulation 17 of the Import Control Regulations 1973,* the Minister of Trade and Industry hereby gives the following notice:

NOTICE

  1. (1) This notice may be cited as the Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 10) 1987.

(2) This notice shall come into force on the 19th day of June 1987.

  1. Goods of the classes specified in the First Schedule hereto, imported from and being the produce or manufacture of any country, are hereby exempted from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations.

  2. The exemption from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations, in respect of the classes of goods set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, included in the exemption notice shown in the Second Schedule hereto, is hereby withdrawn.

Classes of Goods

A motor vehicle, which is the personal property of the importer, and has been owned and used by, and registered in the name of, the owner overseas prior to delivery for export to New Zealand. Provided that only one vehicle per person may be imported in any twelve month period.


SECOND SCHEDULE

EXEMPTIONS WITHDRAWN

Classes of Goods

A motor vehicle, which is the personal property of the importer, and has been owned and used by the owner overseas prior to delivery for export to New Zealand. Provided that only one vehicle per person may be imported in any twelve month period.

EXPLANATORY NOTE: This exemption notice provides for an amendment to the exemption for passengers’ motor vehicles owned and used overseas, which must now be registered overseas in the name of the owner.
