The Standards Act 1965—Standard Specifications Revoked

Pursuant to section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, the Standards Council, on 29 May 1987, revoked the under-mentioned standard specifications.

NZS 703:1950 (BS 590:1949) Mild steel chain Grade 30, short link and pitched or calibrated for lifting purposes. (Superseded by BS 4942: Pt. 1 & 2:1973)

NZS 2185:1967 (BS 3925:1965) Toughened safety glass for ships' windows. (Superseded by NZS 5238:1986)

Customs Exchange Rates Notice (No. 13) 1987

Pursuant to section 143 of the Customs Act 1966, the Comptroller of Customs, in accordance with the power delegated to him by the Minister of Customs under section 9 of that Act, hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. Short title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Customs Exchange Rates Notice (No. 13) 1987.

(2) This notice shall come into force on the 22nd day of June 1987.

  1. Exchange rates—Where under any provisions of the Customs Act 1966 any amount which is required to be taken into account for the purpose of assessing duty or any other purpose is not an amount in New Zealand currency, the amount to be so taken into account shall be the equivalent in New Zealand currency of that amount ascertained in accordance with the rate of exchange set out in the Schedule to this notice.

  2. Revocation—The Customs Exchange Rates Notice (No. 12) 1987, published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 78, dated 28 May 1987 on page 2327 is hereby revoked.
