Appointment of Member to the Licensing Control Commission

PURSUANT to section 4 of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint

Garth David Lomax of Christchurch

to be a member of the Licensing Control Commission for a term of 5 years on and from 5 July 1987.

Deputy Chairman of the Waitangi Tribunal Appointed

PURSUANT to section 4 of the Second Schedule to the Treaty of Waitangi Act 1975 as amended by section 5 of the Treaty of Waitangi Amendment Act 1985, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint

Ashley George McHugh, Judge of the Maori Land Court

to be deputy chairman of the Waitangi Tribunal while the chairman is on sabbatical leave, such period of appointment to commence on 1 June 1987.

to be Deputy Chief Judge of the Maori Land Court while the Chief Judge of the Maori Land Court is on sabbatical leave, such period of appointment to commence on 1 June 1987.
