Alteration of Boundaries—City of Hamilton and Counties of Waikato and Waipa Order, Amendment No. 1

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At Wellington this 18th day of May 1987
Present:
His Excellency THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 36 of the Local Government Act 1974, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- Title and commencement—(1) This order may be cited as the Alteration of Boundaries—City of Hamilton and Counties of Waikato and Waipa Order, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Alteration of Boundaries—City of Hamilton and Counties of Waikato and Waipa Order published in the Gazette of 1977 at page 2923 (hereinafter referred to as the principal order).
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the Gazette.
- Boundaries of Hamilton City and Waikato County altered—The principal order is hereby amended by revoking that part of the First Schedule from and including the word “Fourthly”, and substituting the description set out in the Schedule to this order.
SCHEDULE
FOURTHLY, all that area in the South Auckland Land District containing 2.36 hectares, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the southern corner of Lot 1, D.P. S. 30881, situated in Block II, Hamilton Survey District, and proceeding north-westerly along the south-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. S. 30881 and that south-western boundary produced to the south-eastern boundary of Part Allotment 291A Kirikiriroa Parish (C.T. 150/266); thence north-easterly along that boundary to the middle of the stream shown on plan D.P. S. 30881; thence generally south-easterly along the middle of that stream to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. S. 30881; thence north-westerly along a right boundary to the point of commencement.

Tamaki City Council (Validation of Instalment Rating) Order 1987

ORDER IN COUNCIL

His Excellency THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Whereas the Tamaki City Council on the 3rd day of February 1987 resolved to make a special order, pursuant to section 86a of the Rating Act 1967, adopting the instalment rating system for the financial year commencing on the 1st day of April 1987 and for subsequent years:
And whereas section 86a of that Act provides that a special order adopting an instalment rating system shall come into force on the 1st day of April next succeeding the expiration of 2 months after the confirmation of the special order:
And whereas the special order was not confirmed until the 3rd day of March 1987 being a date less than 2 months before the 1st day of April 1987:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 170 of the Rating Act 1967, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- Title and commencement—(1) This order may be cited as the Tamaki City Council (Validation of Instalment Rating) Order 1987.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the Gazette.
- Validation—The special order by which the Tamaki City Council adopted the instalment system of rating with effect from the 1st day of April 1987, which order was made by a resolution passed by that council on the 3rd day of February 1987 and confirmed by that council on the 3rd day of March 1987, shall, notwithstanding that the confirmation of that resolution took place less than 2 months before the 1st day of April 1987,—
(a) Be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of April 1987; and
(b) Be deemed, while it continues in force, to constitute, and to have always constituted, a valid authority for the operation by the Tamaki City Council of the instalment system of rating.

The Bay of Islands County Council (Validation of Special Order) Order 1987

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At Wellington this 18th day of May 1987
Present:
His Excellency THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Whereas the Bay of Islands County Council (the council) desired to name certain roads and alter the names of certain roads in its district:
And whereas the council had power to take that action by special order by virtue of sections 319 (j) and 320 (i) of the Local Government Act 1974:
And whereas the council did not comply with all the requirements of section 113 of the Local Government Act 1974 in making the special order:
And whereas the period within which any proceedings to quash the special order must be commenced has passed:
And whereas it is desired to validate the special order that the council purported to confirm on the 18th day of July 1984:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 719 of the Local Government Act 1974, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- Title and commencement—(1) This order may be cited as the Bay of Islands County Council (Validation of Special Order) Order 1987.
(2) This order shall come into force on its publication in the Gazette.
- Special order validated—The special order of the council naming roads and altering the names of roads that was confirmed by the council on the 18th day of July 1984 is hereby validated, notwithstanding that some of the requirements of section 113 of the Local Government Act 1974 were not complied with.
