Notice is hereby given that a petition for the winding up of the above-named company by the High Court was, on the 26th day of March 1987, presented to the said Court by Power Chief Products LIMITED; and that the said petition is directed to be heard before the Court sitting at Invercargill on the 25th day of May 1987 at 10 o’clock in the forenoon; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to support or oppose the making of an order on the said petition may appear at the time of hearing in person or by his counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished by the undersigned to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring a copy on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

In THE MATTER of Part III of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957, and IN THE MATTER of scheme for the variation of trust of ALFORD STOCKDILL, late of Ashburton between THE ASBURTON HOSPITAL BOARD—Plaintiff: Her Majesty’s Attorney-General—Defendant:

TAKE notice that the plaintiff herein had applied to the High Court at Christchurch to vary a Charitable Trust. The application will be heard on Tuesday, the 26th day of May 1987 at 10 a.m. The proposed Scheme is as follows:

That the trust as established in the will and codicil of the testator, ALFORD STOCKDILL, stand as at present, accept that the provisions in clause 4 “... for the ASHBURTON HOSPITAL BOARD for the purposes of providing furnishings, equipment, recreational facilities or other benefits for the nursing staff of the hospitals and homes administered by the said Board but not towards any religious purpose or chapel fund” be deleted and replaced by:

“... for the ASHBURTON HOSPITAL BOARD to use the capital and income therefrom for the purpose of improving nursing services at the hospital by providing assistance to nursing staff employed by the Board to undertake private study and/or to attend lectures, seminars, conferences, and other training courses of a type consistent with the services provided to the public by the hospital and which would further the nurses learning, efficiency and/or skills in the field of nursing”.

ANY person desiring to oppose the scheme shall give written notice of that opposition to the Registrar of the High Court of Christchurch, the Attorney-General and the plaintiff by its solicitors not less than seven days before the date fixed for hearing the application.
