Bylaw 12.04—Delete and substitute the following—

“Any candidate for admission as an authorised clerk shall be at least 18 years of age and should have at least 6 months sharebroking experience although this period may be reduced by the committee if it is satisfied that the candidate has had other suitable commercial experience”.

This amendment was approved by the Executive at its meeting on 16 December 1986.

Customs Exchange Rates Notice (No. 3) 1987

Pursuant to section 143 of the Customs Act 1966, the Comptroller of Customs, in accordance with the power delegated to him by the Minister of Customs under section 9 of that Act, hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. Short title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Customs Exchange Rates Notice (No. 3) 1987.

(2) This notice shall come into force on the 2nd day of February 1987.

  1. Exchange rates—Where under any provisions of the Customs Act 1966 any amount which is required to be taken into account for the purpose of assessing duty or any other purpose is not an amount in New Zealand currency, the amount to be so taken into account shall be the equivalent in New Zealand currency of that amount ascertained in accordance with the rate of exchange set out in the Schedule to this notice.

  2. Revocation—The Customs Exchange Rates Notice (No. 2) 1987, published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 1, dated 15th January 1987 on page 40 is hereby revoked.

Fees Determined Pursuant to the Foreign Affairs (Legal and Notarial Fees) Regulations 1982

Pursuant to the Foreign Affairs (Legal and Notarial Fees) Regulations 1982, the Minister of Foreign Affairs hereby determines the fees to be taken from the 1st day of February 1987 in respect of the following matters and things done in the execution of his office by an overseas representative or by an officer appointed under section 8 of the Foreign Affairs Act 1942:

(a) The taking of any affidavit, affirmation or declaration.
(b) The witnessing of any will or other testamentary disposition.
(c) The certification or verification of any signature or document.
(d) The typing or other preparation of any certificate or attestation in respect of any document.
(e) The making and verification of a translation of any document (per 100 words or less).
