Transport Licensing Authority Sittings

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Auckland Harbour Ferry District Licensing Authority (J. M. Foster), gives notice of the receipt of the following application and will hold a public sitting in the Council Chamber, Devonport Borough Council, Victoria Road, Devonport on Monday, 25 May 1987 to hear evidence for or against the granting of the application:

HF/105 Fullers Captain Cook Cruises Ltd: Amend Harbour Ferry Transport Service Licence 03494 by adding a special condition to authorise the operation of a scheduled timetable route service between the Auckland Ferry Terminal and Matiatia wharf, Waiheke Island. Timetableβ€”depart Waiheke 0700 hours, Monday to Friday inclusive. Depart Auckland 1730 hours, Monday to Friday inclusive. (The sitting will carry on for rest of week as required.)

Commerce Act 1986, Merger or Takeover Proposal

Notice is hereby given of the following determination by the Commerce Commission pursuant to section 66 (6) of the Commerce Act 1986.

Decision No. 194 (Ref: AUT/MT-W13/1)

On 16 April 1987 the Commerce Commission determined to give a clearance that West Coast Bakery Ltd. may acquire the assets employed in the business of Callaghan's Bakery Ltd. (excluding stock in trade not required, land and buildings and book debts).

The full text of the determination is available for inspection at the Commission's Offices in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. Copies may also be purchased on application to the Commission (P.O. Box 10-273, Wellington).

The Traffic (Rotorua District) Notice No. 1, 1987

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, a delegation from the Minister of Transport, and a subdelegation from the Secretary for Transport, I, Carme Mauriece Clissold, Chief Traffic Engineer, give the following notice:

NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Rotorua District) Notice No. 1, 1987.

The roads specified in the First Schedule are declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit area pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

SCHEDULE

Situated within Rotorua District at Rerewhakaaitu:

  • Ashpit Road: From Yankee Road to a point 250 metres measured northerly, generally, along Ashpit Road from Yankee Road.
  • Rerewhakaaitu Road: From Yankee Road to a point 250 metres measured westerly, generally, along Rerewhakaaitu Road from Yankee Road.
  • Yankee Road: From Ashpit Road to a point 300 metres measured southerly, generally, along Yankee Road from Ashpit Road.

The Traffic (Rotorua District) Notice No. 2, 1987

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, a delegation from the Minister of Transport, and a subdelegation from the Secretary for Transport, I, Carme Mauriece Clissold, Chief Traffic Engineer, give the following notice:

NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Rotorua District) Notice No. 2, 1987.

The roads specified in the First Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The roads specified in the Second Schedule are declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

The road specified in the Third Schedule is declared to be a limited speed zone pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

The Traffic (Rotorua District) Notice No. 2, 1985, dated the 25th day of October 1985*, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976 is revoked.
