Price Determination (Milk Treatment Allowances)

By a determination dated 22 April 1987, the Commerce Commission acting pursuant to section 25 (3A) of the Milk Act 1967 (as amended by section 110 of the Commerce Act 1986) fixed new standard rates of allowances for the treatment of milk.

1. The determination is set out in the Schedule below, and copies of the determination (including reasons therefore) may be obtained from the Commerce Commission, P.O. Box 10-273, Wellington.

2. The new standard rates of allowances for the treatment of milk is effective from 1 January 1987.

3. New standard rates of allowances are made in respect of items 1 and 6 of the Schedule below, items 2, 3, 4 and 5 remain unaltered as a result of this determination.

SCHEDULE

STANDARD RATES OF MARGINS AND ALLOWANCES PAYABLE IN RESPECT OF THE TREATMENT OF TOWN MILK

Nature of Service Margin or Allowance at the Rate of Cents per Litre

1. Treatment by treatment station if the aggregate quantity treated is:
   (1) 37 500 litres or over per day 11.114
   (2) 15 000 litres or over but less than 37 500 litres per day 12.324
   (3) 7 500 litres or over but less than 15 000 litres per day 12.504
   (4) Less than 7 500 litres per day 15.964

Nature of Service Margin or Allowance at the Rate of Cents per Litre

2. Homogenisation by treatment station, if the aggregate quantity homogenised is:
   (1) 4 500 litres or over per day 1.294
   (2) 2 250 litres or over but less than 4 500 litres per day 1.694
   (3) Less than 2 250 litres per day 2.144

3. Diverting to town milk industry by treatment station of skim milk if the aggregate quantity diverted is:
   (1) 4 500 litres or over per day 0.814
   (2) 2 250 litres or over but less than 4 500 litres per day 0.904
   (3) Less than 2 250 litres per day 0.994

4. Storing by refrigeration in vendor's depot 1.204

5. Storing by refrigeration in community depot 1.774

6. Treatment by treatment station if such milk is not stored by refrigeration in the treatment station pending delivery but is stored elsewhere, and if the aggregate quantity treated is:
   (1) 37 500 litres or over per day 11.004
   (2) 15 000 litres or over but less than 37 500 litres per day 12.214
   (3) 7 500 litres or over but less than 15 000 litres per day 12.394
   (4) Less than 7 500 litres per day 15.854

Notice of Final Decision of New Zealand Geographic Board Re Assigning of Place Names

WHEREAS pursuant to section 12 of the New Zealand Geographic Board Act 1946, notices were given on the 11th day of December 1986 of the intention of the New Zealand Geographic Board to assign the names set out in the Schedules attached to the said notices; and whereas pursuant to section 13 of the said Act, no objections have been received to such of the proposed names as are set out in the Schedule hereto.

Now therefore pursuant to sections 14 and 15 of the said Act, notice is hereby given that the names set out in the Schedule hereto are final decisions of the Board and that such decisions will take effect on the 11th day of June 1987.

Plans showing the location of the features may be inspected at the office of the Chief Surveyor for the Department, or at the office of the Secretary of the Board.
