Clause 28.1: Homing Pigeons to be Liberated

Omit the present table of charges and substitute:

For inter-island consignments an additional charge of 40 cents per kilogram will be charged. Charges to be computed for total distance on group weight.

Clause 28.6: Acceptance

Insert new clause:

Pigeons must not be accepted for carriage until confirmation is obtained from stations or terminals concerned (including transhipping stations) that guards vans are attached to all trains on which such pigeon traffic is required to travel to its destination. Pigeon traffic will not be conveyed on road passenger service vehicles.

Clause 29.1.1: Parcels Rates

Omit the charge for feeding dogs of $2.20 (in two places) and substitute $2.50.

Clause 29.1.3: Accompany Passengers Wellington Suburban Services

Omit the present charge of $4.00 and substitute $4.50.

Clause 29.2: Delivery

Renumber this clause 29.3.

Insert new clause 29.2 as follows:

29.2: Acceptance of dogs: Dogs must not be accepted for carriage until confirmation is obtained from stations or terminals concerned (including transhipping stations) that guards vans are attached to all trains on which such dog traffic is required to travel to its destination. Dogs will not be conveyed on road passenger service vehicles.

Renumber this clause 29.4.

Clause 29.4: Confining of Dogs

Renumber this clause 29.5.

Clause 29.5: Tethering

Renumber this clause 29.6.

Clause 29.6: Dogs Accompanying Passengers

Renumber this clause 29.7.

Clause 29.7: Rail Accommodation

Renumber this clause 29.8.

Clause 29.8: Corporation’s Liability

Renumber this clause 29.9.

Clause 31.1.1: Bulk Consignments

Omit the present intra island and inter island charges in the second line of this clause and substitute 25 cents and 40 cents respectively.
