Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 8) 1987

Pursuant to regulation 17 of the Import Control Regulations 1973*, the Minister of Trade and Industry hereby gives the following notice:

NOTICE

  1. (1) This notice may be cited as the Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 8) 1987.

(2) This notice shall come into force on the 3rd day of April 1987.

  1. Goods of the classes specified and for the purposes of the Customs Tariff falling within the Tariff items in the First Schedule hereto, imported from and being the produce or manufacture of Australia, are hereby exempted from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations.

  2. The exemption from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations, in respect of the classes of goods set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, imported from and being the produce or manufacture of Australia, included in the exemption notice shown in the Second Schedule hereto, is hereby withdrawn.

EXPLANATORY NOTE: This exemption notice provides for withdrawal of the Australian exemption of domestic washing machines and domestic drying machines other than rotary tumbler type.
