During the period 6 June to 28 June 1987 inclusive, Canada goose may be hunted or killed 24 hours per day in that area situated between the Waitotara River Mouth, and south of the Gisborne to Wairoa railway line.

Decoy limit: No limit.

Special Condition

  1. With the exception of freehold waters, it shall be an offence to hunt or kill game from unmoored boats during the opening weekend only, being Saturday, 2 May 1987 and Sunday, 3 May 1987.

Closed Game Area

Add:

(28) The Waihaha River, from the Tieke Falls downstream to the river mouth at Lake Taupo, and all wetlands adjoining that section of the Waihaha River and contained within Waihaha Blocks 3B2, 3C and 3E2.

  1. In the Tauranga Harbour and Little Waihi Estuary no maimai shall be erected that will impede the use of navigable channels and waters of the harbour or estuary.

  2. Maimais erected in the Tauranga Harbour and Little Waihi Estuary must be dismantled and removed at the close of the season.
