Overseas Specification Available for Comment

Pursuant to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the under-mentioned overseas specification is being considered for declaration as a New Zealand Standard.

Number and Title of Specification
ASTM D 3462–83 Specification for asphalt roofing shingles made from glass felt and surfaced with mineral granules. $13.20 (incl GST)

The Building and Civil Engineering Divisional Committee (30/-) has recommended declaration of this American Society for Testing and Materials Standard as a New Zealand Standard with Amendment A but with no technical change. The declaration of this Standard makes available a suitable specification for the manufacture (and Certification Mark purposes) and importation of asphalt roofing shingles reinforced with glass felt and surfaced with mineral granules.

All persons who may be affected by this specification and who desire to comment thereon, may obtain copies from the Standards Association of New Zealand, Wellington Trade Centre, 181–187 Victoria Street (or Private Bag), Wellington, at the price shown.

The closing date for the receipt of comment is 5 January 1988.
