Plant Varieties Act 1973

Application for Protective Direction and Plant Selectors’ Rights Notice (No. 4245, Ag. P.V. 3/41)

Pursuant to section 11 of the Plant Varieties Act 1973, notice is hereby given that an application for a grant of Protective Direction and a grant of Plant Selectors’ Rights as specified in the Schedule hereto, has been received by the Registrar of Plant Varieties. If it is considered that any interested person will be unfairly affected by the application, that person may lodge an objection with the Registrar within 2 months from the date of this Gazette. Objections must comply with section 19 of the Plant Varieties Act 1973.

Customs Act 1966

Provisional Dumping Determination

Pursuant to the provisions contained in section 186J of the Customs Act 1966, notice is hereby given by the Minister of Customs of a preliminary determination of dumping being found against Comalco Aluminium Ltd. of Australia and Austral Bronze Crane Copper Ltd. of Australia being suppliers of certain unworked aluminium sheet, (excluding enclosure sheet and can body stock) plate, (excluding treadplate) and coil (excluding coil stock for venetian blinds and opossum guard coil) of 0.2 mm thickness and above, of various alloys, tempers and dimensions being classified within tariff item 76.03.017.09D of the Customs Tariff of New Zealand.

Pursuant to the provisions contained in section 186N of the Customs Act 1966, the Minister of Customs hereby gives notice of a provisional direction that payment of duty in respect of those goods described above, shall be secured in accordance with Part IX of this Act. The rate or amount of such duty to be secured shall equal the differences between the export price of the goods and their normal value which has been determined by the Minister pursuant to section 186J of the Customs Act 1966.
