A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1981, I, The Most Reverend Sir Paul Alfred Reeves, the Governor-General of New Zealand, declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be taken for road and to vest in The Napier City Council on the 14th day after the date of the publication of the proclamation in the Gazette.

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to section 54 of the Public Works Act 1981, I, The Most Reverend Sir Paul Alfred Reeves, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the proclamation dated the 19th day of February 1975 and published in the Gazette of 27 February 1975, No. 18, at page 364, and deposited in the Land Registry Office at Wellington as document No. 114343.1 as to the land described in the following Schedule.

Pursuant to section 63 B (2) of the Forests Act 1949, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the area of State forest land described in the Schedule hereto, having been set apart as part of Haurangi State Forest Park by a Proclamation dated the 16th day of December 1974 and published in the New Zealand Gazette of 19 December 1974, page 2975, hereby ceases to be part of Haurangi State Forest Park as from the date of publication hereof.

Officer of Government of Ross Dependency Appointed
PAUL REEVES, Governor-General
Whereas, by an Order in Council dated the 30th day of July 1923* made under the British Settlements Act 1887 of the United Kingdom Parliament, the Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief of New Zealand for the time being (hereinafter called the Governor) was appointed to be the Governor of the Ross Dependency, and all the powers and authorities which by the said order were given and granted to the Governor for the time being of the Dependency were thereby vested in him:
And whereas the Governor was thereby further authorised and empowered to make all such rules and regulations as might lawfully be made by Her Majesty's authority for the peace, order, and good government of the Dependency:
And whereas, by regulations made by the Governor on the 14th day of November 1923†, it was enacted that all persons appointed by the Governor for the time being of the Dependency should have such power and authority as might be granted to them in due course of law, and might be empowered to do such things as might be necessary or desirable to ensure that the laws in force in the Dependency are duly observed and complied with in every respect, and to do all things necessary for and expedient for the peace, order, and good government of the Dependency, and to safeguard and preserve Her Majesty's rights and sovereignty over and in respect of the Dependency:
And whereas it is expedient that the person hereinafter named be appointed an officer of the Government of the Dependency:
Now, therefore, I, The Most Reverend Sir Paul Alfred Reeves, the Governor-General of New Zealand, and as such the Governor of the Ross Dependency, hereby appoint
Keith James Martin, Esquire
as an officer of the Government of the Dependency for the period beginning with the 1st day of February 1987 and ending with the close of the 31st day of October 1987 or such earlier date as he shall leave the Dependency.
