Notice of Intention to Take Land for a Limited Access Road in the City of Upper Hutt

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1981, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for a limited access road, which is to vest in the Crown and is to be used for the realignment of State Highway 2 owing to the construction of the new Mangaroa Bridge Road.

The taking is considered reasonably necessary as the area is required to form part of the road approach to Mangaroa River Bridge, and it is not possible to reach agreement with the owner of the land as the land was owned by a company which has been wound up.

Any person having an estate or interest in the land may within 20 working days after the date of first publication of this notice send an application to the Registrar, Planning Tribunal, Tribunals Division, Justice Department, Postal Centre, Wellington. If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be informed of the time and place of the hearing.
