The draft amends the backing board thickness by deleting the measurement “925 µm” and substituting “830 µm”. Board of the originally specified thickness is no longer being widely manufactured.

The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Standard Specifications Available for Comment
PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft New Zealand standard specifications are being circulated.
Number and Title of Specification
Hot water systems and their installation
Four related draft Standards have been issued concerned with the design and installation of these systems in domestic and light commercial establishments.
The drafts are:
DZ 4602 Low pressure copper thermal storage electric water heaters. $7.48 (incl GST).
(Revision of NZS 4602:1976) Applies to thermostatically controlled thermal storage electric water heaters designed to work at pressures not exceeding 12 mH₂O (120 kPa). Hard metric units have been introduced and requirements for thermal insulation upgraded to take advantage of improved insulating materials and in recognition of the need for increased energy conservation.
DZ 4606 High pressure thermal storage electric water heaters. $11.00 (incl GST).
Specifies requirements for storage water heaters heated solely by electricity with working pressure in excess of 120 kPa (12 mH₂O) having storage capacities within the range 25 to 630 litres, and having heating units of the tubular sheathed immersion type.
DZ 4607 Installation of thermal storage electric water heaters: valve vented systems. $7.48 (incl. GST).
Applies to the installation in the vertical position of thermal storage electric water heaters complying with NZS 4602 and NZS 4606. It is restricted to valve vented systems.
DZ 4608 Control valves for use in hot water systems. $7.48 (incl GST).
Covers the requirements for control valves used in conjunction with pressurised hot and cold water supply systems and suitable for static inlet pressures up to 1600 kPa (163 mH₂O)
and working pressures up to 600 kPa (61 mH₂O) with temperatures not normally exceeding 85°C and under emergency conditions, not exceeding 99°C.

Notice of Intention to Apply for Ministerial Approval of Code of Practice Under the Factories and Commercial Premises Act 1981
PURSUANT to section 51 of the Factories and Commercial Premises Act 1981, I. Leslie James Cope, the Chief Inspector of Factories of the Department of Labour, hereby give notice of my intention, after 1 month from the publication of this notice, to apply to the Minister of Labour for his approval of the “Code of Practice for Visual Display Units”.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Hawke’s Bay Licensing Committee
PURSUANT to section 221A (14) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962 as amended by section 22 (1) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, David Oughton, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Hawke’s Bay Licensing Committee on 29 June 1987, made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the Pacific Hotel, Hastings.
To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:
(a) On any Friday and Saturday—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.
(b) On any Christmas Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.
(c) On any New Year’s Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 00.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.
