Warrant for Issue of Writs for General Election
PAUL REEVES, Governor-General
To the Clerk of the Writs.
Pursuant to the Electoral Act 1956, I hereby authorise and direct you to proceed forthwith to issue writs for the election of members of Parliament for all the electoral districts within New Zealand.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 22nd day of July 1987.

A PROCLAMATION
I, The Most Reverend Sir Paul Alfred Reeves, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare that, pursuant to the Electoral Act 1956, I have this day signed my Warrant directing the Clerk of the Writs to proceed forthwith to issue writs for the election of members of Parliament for all electoral districts within New Zealand.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 22nd day of July 1987.
