This Proclamation proroguing the Parliament of New Zealand, was publicly read by me, PAUL GEORGE CANHAM, a person authorised by His Excellency the Governor-General, at the Parliament House, Wellington, at 6.15 p.m. on Tuesday, 21 July 1987 in the presence of:

David Graham McGee,
Clerk of the House of Representatives.

Milton Mansfield McElroy Hollard,
Clerk Assistant of the House of Representatives.

Carol Robyn Rankin,
Serjeant-at-Arms of the House of Representatives.

Dissolving the Parliament of New Zealand


PAUL REEVES, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS the Parliament of New Zealand stands prorogued to the 21st day of October 1987 and I have thought fit to dissolve it:

Now, therefore, pursuant to the Constitution Act 1986, I, The Most Reverend Sir Paul Alfred Reeves, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby dissolve the Parliament of New Zealand as from the date hereof.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 21st day of July 1987.
