NOTICE is hereby given that the Commerce Commission has given clearance to the following merger and takeover proposals in terms of section 66(3)(a) of the Commerce Act 1986.

Proposal

Wellesley Holdings Limited may acquire up to 100 percent of the shares in Wellesley Resources Limited.

John Fairfax (NZ) Limited may acquire up to 100 percent of the shares in the capital of Fourth Estate Holdings Limited.

Consumer Finance Corporation Limited may acquire all the issued share capital of Equiticorp Executive Services Limited.

Cheah Theam Swee Consortium and/or others may acquire up to 100 percent of the issued share capital in London Pacific Ltd.

Prudential Assurance Company NZ Limited may acquire all the share capital in Prudential Assurance Company Limited and General Accident Life Assurance Limited.

Unity Group Limited or any of its subsidiary companies may acquire up to 50 percent of the issued share capital of Jonmer Holdings Limited.

Griffin and Sons Limited may acquire up to 100 percent of the issued share capital of Abels Industries Limited.

DFC Ventures Limited, Malcolm Holdings (Tauranga) Limited and Fortex Group Limited may acquire 100 percent of the ordinary shares in Summit Deer Products Limited.

The Consortium comprising Cheah Theam Swee and Others may acquire up to 100 percent of Clearwood Thoroughbred Stud Limited.

Tourist Hotel Corporation of New Zealand may acquire all of the assets employed in connection with the business of the Remarkables Resort Hotel, Frankton.

Consortium comprising Cheah Theam Swee and Others may acquire up to 100 percent of the issued share capital of John Burns and Company Limited.

Liquid Air Holdings Limited or its subsidiary may acquire all the share capital of Mesco Liquid Air Limited.

Unity Group Limited and/or its subsidiary may acquire up to 100 percent of the issued share capital of Carberundum New Zealand Limited.

W. S. and D. M. Henderson may acquire the land and buildings of, and the tavern premises licence issued in respect of, the Bridge Tavern from Dominion Breweries Limited.

Excelsior Holdings Limited may acquire the land and buildings of, and the hotel premises licence issued in respect of, the Wains Hotel from Dominion Breweries Limited.

Renouf Property Developments may acquire the Commerce Building, Wellington, which forms part of the business of Commerce Buildings Limited.
