Authorising the Auckland Harbour Board to Reclaim Harbour Board Endowment from Waitemata Harbour

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 175 (3) and subject to sections 176 to 182 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council hereby authorises the Auckland Harbour Board to reclaim an area of 220 square metres, more or less, of seabed of Waitemata Harbour as shown marked ‘A’ on plan M.D. 16377, 1 sheet (S.O. 57935), deposited in the office of the Secretary for Transport at Wellington, and being situated in Block XVI, Waitemata Survey District of the North Auckland Land District.

PURSUANT to section 175 (2) and subject to sections 176 to 182 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council hereby authorises the Otago Harbour Board to reclaim an area of 3461 square metres of seabed in Otago Harbour as shown on plan M.D. 16396, 2 sheets (S.O. 21751 and S.O. 21808), deposited in the office of the Secretary for Transport at Wellington.
SCHEDULE
ALL that land situated in the Portobello Survey District of the Otago Land District containing 2746 square metres, more or less, of Otago Harbour Board endowment being part of the seabed in Otago Harbour, as shown on plan M.D. 16396, sheet 1 (S.O. 21751), deposited in the office of the Secretary for Transport at Wellington.
All that land situated in the Portobello Survey District of the Otago Land District containing 715 square metres, more or less, of Otago Harbour Board endowment being part of the seabed in Otago Harbour, as shown on plan M.D. 16396, sheet 2 (S.O. 21808), deposited in the office of the Secretary for Transport at Wellington.

Redefining the Limits of the Harbour of Whakatane

ORDER IN COUNCIL

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 3 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby redefines the limits of the Harbour of Whakatane as described in the Schedule hereto and hereby revokes the Warrant of 10 June 1919* defining the Harbour of Whakatane.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the Bay of Plenty commencing at a point on the sea-coast at ordinary high-water mark of the Bay of Plenty, being the left bank at the mouth of the Tarawera River outlet; thence by a straight line to a distance of one mile to seaward; thence by a straight line to the westernmost point of Whale Island; thence by ordinary high-water mark along the southern coastline of the said island to its easternmost point; thence by straight line to a point on the sea coast at ordinary high-water mark of the Bay of Plenty, being the western side of the road from Whakatane to Ohiwa Beach; thence north and westerly by ordinary high-water mark of the Bay of Plenty along the sea coast to the right bank of the Whakatane River; thence by ordinary high-water mark of the said river to the outer face of the down stream side of the State Highway Number Two bridge over the said river (on the main road between Whakatane and Te Teko); thence by the said bridge to the left bank of the said river; thence along the left bank by ordinary high-water mark of the Bay of Plenty, to the right bank of the Rangitaiki River outlet; thence by ordinary high-water mark of the said river-outlet to the bridge over the said Rangitaiki River outlet on the main road from Matata to Whakatane; thence by the said bridge to the left bank by ordinary high-water mark of the said river-outlet and the sea coast by ordinary high-water mark of the Bay of Plenty, to the right bank of the Tarawera River outlet; thence by the said right bank to the ferry-crossing; thence by a straight line drawn at right angles across the said Tarawera River to its left bank; thence by the said left bank to the point of commencement; the hereinbefore-mentioned line of ordinary high-water mark shall be deemed to cross the mouths of any tributaries of the said Whakatane River, as shown on plan M.D. 16398, deposited in the office of the Secretary for Transport at Wellington.

Papatoetoe Fire District Cancellation Notice 1986
PURSUANT to section 26 of the Fire Service Act 1975, the New Zealand Fire Service Commission hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
- Title and commencement—(1) This Notice may be cited as the Papatoetoe Fire District Cancellation Notice 1986.
(2) This notice shall be deemed to have come into effect on the 1st day of June 1986.
- Papatoetoe Fire District Cancellation—The Papatoetoe Fire District declared to be a fire district under section 26 (1) of the Fire Service Act 1975 is hereby abolished and the area so defined being Papatoetoe City as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1960, page 1058 is absorbed into the Auckland Fire District as defined in the New Zealand Gazette, 1986, page 1665.

PURSUANT to section 59 of the Defence Act 1971, the Minister of Defence hereby approves the following appointment, promotions, extensions, relinquishments, cancellations, transfers, resignations and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Cadet Forces.
SEA CADET CORPS
Appointments
Lloyd Joseph Mitchell is appointed to a cadet commission in the rank of Lieutenant with effect from 2 August 1985, seniority 30 December 1970.
Patrick Fitzgerald Foot is appointed to a cadet commission in the rank of Ensign on probation with effect 31 July 1985, seniority 17 October 1985.
Wilhelmus Johannes Byrman is appointed to a cadet commission in the rank of Ensign on probation with effect 23 August 1985, seniority 23 August 1983.
Dorothy Jennifer Greig is appointed to a cadet commission in the rank of Ensign on probation with effect 17 October 1985, seniority 17 October 1985.
Rhondda Elizabeth Beddis is appointed to a cadet commission in the rank of Ensign on probation with effect 10 October 1985, seniority 10 October 1985.
