Notice by Examiner of Commercial Practices of Consents to Merger and Takeover Proposals

PURSUANT to section 72 (6) of the Commerce Act 1975, notice is hereby given that the Examiner of Commercial Practices has consented to the following merger and takeover proposals.

Proposal

O. M. Newland may acquire share capital of Landmark Properties Ltd. carrying the right to exercise 24.12 percent of the voting power at any general meeting of Landmark Properties Ltd.

Hawkes Bay Farmers Meat Co. Ltd. may acquire up to 100 percent of Hawkes Bay Transport Holdings Ltd.

Dominion Breweries Ltd. may acquire the stock and plant of the Hawea Hotel from its current lessees, Mr and Mrs Tyson

Equiticorp Holdings Ltd. may acquire up to 50 per cent of the shares conferring voting power in the capital of Feltex New Zealand Ltd.

Elders Pastoral may acquire specific areas of business of the Farmers Cooperative Organisation Society of New Zealand (FCOS) namely the business conducted in the Manawatu Region, Fordell and Fielding. However, excluded from the Agreement is the Motor Division of FCOS and the Londonerry Shopping Complex
