Commerce Act 1975

NOTICE is hereby given of decision No. 156 of the Commerce Commission dated 13 March 1986.

By this decision the Commission consented to the proposal whereby Fletcher Challenge Davies Ltd. might acquire up to 100 percent of the issued ordinary and convertible preference shares in the capital of Goodman Group Ltd.

The Traffic (Franklin County) Notice No. 1, 1986

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, a delegation from the Minister of Transport, and a subdelegation from the Secretary for Transport, I, Carne Maurice Clissold, Chief Traffic Engineer, give the following notice:

NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Franklin County) Notice No. 1, 1986.

The roads specified in the First Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The road specified in the Second Schedule is declared to be a 70 kilometres an hour speed limit area pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

The Traffic (Franklin County) Notice No. 1, 1985, signed the 20th day of September 1985*, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976 is revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Franklin County at Otaua:

Factory Road: from Otaua Road to Maioro Road.

Hoods Landing Road: from Maioro Road to Otaua Road.

Maioro Road: from a point 200 metres measured westerly, generally, along the said road from Hoods Landing Road to a point 250 metres measured easterly, generally, along Maioro Road from Factory Road.

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Franklin County adjacent to Waiuku Borough:

Waiuku-Otaua Road: from the southern boundary of Waiuku Borough to Cemetery Road.

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Taranaki County) Notice No. 1, 1986.

The roads specified in the Schedule are declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Taranaki County at Lepperton:

Richmond Road: from a point 100 metres measured northerly, generally, along the said road from Roby Street to a point 300 metres measured southerly, generally, along the said road from Roby Street.

Roby Street: from the south-western side of the Waiongona Stream Bridge to a point 100 metres measured easterly, generally, along the said road from Richmond Road.

Sissans Terrace.

Smith Street: from Sissans Terrace to a point 200 metres measured easterly, generally, along the said road from Sissans Terrace.

Whitcombe Street: from Richmond Road to a point 200 metres measured westerly, generally, along the said road from Richmond Road.

The Water Recreation (The Elbow—Tuakau, Waikato River and Motutieke Island) Notice 1986

I, Beryl Ann Ranger, Senior Executive Officer (Harbours and Foreshores) of the Ministry of Transport, pursuant to regulation 20 (1) of the Water Recreation Regulations 1979, that power being delegated to me pursuant to sections 8 and 9 of the Ministry of Transport Act 1968, hereby give the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Water Recreation (The Elbow - Tuakau, Waikato River and Motutieke Island) Notice 1986.

(b) This notice shall come into force 14 days after its publication in the New Zealand Gazette and it shall remain in force until revoked by further notice in the Gazette.

  1. Regulations 7 (1) (a), 7 (1) (b), 7 (2), 8 (1) (a), 8 (1) (b) and 8 (2) of the Water Recreation Regulations 1979 shall not apply to small craft using the areas of water specified firstly and secondly in the Schedule from the 1st day of December in any one year to the 31st day of October of the following year; or to small craft using the area of water specified thirdly in the Schedule from the 1st day of December in any one year to the 31st day of May of the following year.

  2. This notice shall impose the following conditions:

(1) Notwithstanding any other provisions of this notice, no person who is permitted by any such provisions to propel or navigate a small craft at a speed through the water exceeding 5 knots shall do so in any manner that is likely to endanger or unduly annoy any person who is in, on or using the water, or fishing or undertaking any recreational activity in the vicinity of the small craft.

(2) All persons in charge of a vessel or when water-skiing shall adhere to and keep the provisions of all other Acts and regulations not specifically exempted by this notice.

(3) The Elbow Water Ski Club (Inc.) shall erect such suitable notices as may be required and approved by the Regional Secretary, Ministry of Transport, Auckland at such sites as are deemed necessary by the Regional Secretary.
