PURSUANT to section 20 of the Tourist Hotel Corporation Act 1974, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government acting, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be administered by the Tourist Hotel Corporation of New Zealand for the purposes of the said Act.

Appointments, Promotions, Extensions, Transfers, Resignations
and Retirements of Officers of the Royal New Zealand Navy

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Defence Act 1971, His Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Naval Forces.

ROYAL NEW ZEALAND NAVY
Lieutenant Commander A. Chadwick to be acting Commander with effect from 17 November 1986, and temp. Commander with effect from 21 December 1986.

Lieutenant Commander M. N. Franklin, B.A. to be acting Commander with effect from 29 November 1986, and temp. Commander with effect from 5 December 1986.

Lieutenant Commander Robert Walter Graton, B.SC., DIP.TCHG. is placed on the Emergency List of Officers of the Naval Reserves until 12 December 1990, with effect from 13 December 1986.

The appointment of Lieutenant Commander R. D. Cass, B.SC. is extended until 11 May 1996.

Lieutenant (acting Lieutenant Commander) E. V. Good to be Lieutenant Commander with seniority and effect from 30 June 1986.

Lieutenant (temp. Lieutenant Commander) J. C. O’Donnell, B.E.M. to be Lieutenant Commander with seniority and effect from 13 November 1986.

Surgeon Lieutenant C. T. C. Kenny, M.B., CH.B., B.SC. to be Surgeon Lieutenant Commander with seniority and effect from 29 November 1986.

Lieutenant Kenneth Dudley Coulson, B.ED., DIP.TCHG. is placed on the Emergency List of Officers of the Naval Reserves until 19 December 1990, with effect from 20 December 1986.

Lieutenant Yvonne Laurence Jansen is placed on the Retired List of the RNZN with effect from 20 December 1986.

Sub Lieutenant S. S. Barrett to be Lieutenant with seniority and effect from 15 October 1986.

Sub Lieutenant E. L. C. Neumayr to be Lieutenant with seniority and effect from 1 November 1986.

The appointment of Midshipman David Hadley Ponting is terminated with effect from 11 November 1986.

ROYAL NEW ZEALAND NAVAL VOLUNTEER RESERVE
Lieutenant Commander Clifton John Oliver, M.B.E., V.R.D. is placed on the Retired List of the RNZNVR with effect from 8 October 1986.

Lieutenant (temp. Lieutenant Commander) J. G. Bradley to be Lieutenant Commander with seniority and effect from 23 November 1986.

Sub Lieutenant (temp. Lieutenant) Alistair West Emerson, B.A. is transferred to the Inactive List of the RNZNVR with effect from 26 August 1986.

The appointment of Ensign Ian Martin Blake, B.SC.(HONS.) is terminated with effect from 5 September 1983.

The appointment of Ensign (on prob.) Andrew Charles Stewart lapses with effect from 1 November 1985.

The appointment of Ensign (on prob.) N. M. Longstaff to the RNZNVR is confirmed.

EMERGENCY LIST OF OFFICERS OF THE NAVAL RESERVES
Commander Iain Malcolm McGibbon, O.B.E., is placed on the Retired List of the RNZN in the rank of Captain, with effect from 10 November 1986.

Lieutenant Gary Lynn Millar is placed on the Retired List of the RNZN with effect from 7 October 1986.

Appointment of Members of the Planning Tribunal

PURSUANT to section 131 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1977, as substituted by section 17 of the Town and Country Planning Amendment Act 1983, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint

as a member of the Planning Tribunal for a term of 5 years on and from 1 February 1987 and

Alma Lorraine McMillan, retail consultant of Auckland
as a member of the Planning Tribunal for a term of 5 years on and from 1 May 1987.

Appointment of Member of the Motor Vehicle Salesmen Registration Authority
