PURSUANT to the Land Act 1948, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Assistant Director of Land Administration of the Department of Lands and Survey hereby sets apart the land, described in the Schedule hereto, as a scenic reserve, subject to the provisions of section 19(1)(a) of the Reserves Act 1977.

Change the Classification of a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Assistant Commissioner of Crown Lands hereby changes the classification of the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, from a recreation reserve to a local purpose (site for kindergarten) reserve, subject to the provisions of the said Act.

Including Land in a Maori Reservation

WHEREAS by notice dated 29 November 1962 published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 77, page 2148, the land described in the First Schedule hereto was set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a meeting place for the common use and benefit of the members of the Ngati Turanga hapu of the Raukawa Tribe.

And whereas by notice dated 8 August 1985 published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 145, page 3337, the area of the aforesaid Maori reservation was reduced consequent upon an exchange of part Himatangi 2A1B Block for the land described in the Third Schedule hereto.

And whereas it is now desired to extend the reservation to include the land described in the Third Schedule hereto.

Now therefore pursuant to section 439(2) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, it is hereby declared that the land described in the Third Schedule hereto is included in the aforesaid Maori reservation.
