Appointment of Aide-de-Camp (Additional) to the Queen

HER Majesty The Queen has been pleased to approve the appointment of Brigadier R. E. Menzies, E.D., Territorial Force, New Zealand Army, as Aide-de-Camp (Additional) to Her Majesty, with effect from 1 June 1986, vice Brigadier T. G. Leighs, C.B.E., E.D., who has retired.

Appointment to the Privy Council

His Excellency the Governor-General has released the following statement:

“An announcement has been made by the Office of the British Prime Minister, 10 Downing Street, London, that The Queen has been graciously pleased to approve that The Honourable Mr Justice (Maurice Eugene) CASEY, a Judge of the Court of Appeal of New Zealand, be appointed a Member of Her Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council”.

Deputy Member of the Waitangi Tribunal Appointed

PURSUANT to section 4 of the Treaty of Waitangi Act 1975 as amended by section 2 of the Treaty of Waitangi Amendment Act 1985, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint the following person as a deputy member of the Waitangi Tribunal for a term of office expiring on 1 July 1989, to deputise for Gordon Stewart Orr whenever appropriate.
