to the Minister of Energy for the granting of a new licence.

Lines for the transmission of electricity as follows:

Commencing at the Electricity Division’s Bunnythorpe
Substation and proceeding south-westerly across Lot 171, D.P. 217,
Redmayne Street, Lots 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65 and 66, D.P. 217 to
the north-eastern side of Raymond Street and south-easterly along
the Bunnythorpe-Ashhurst Road to the southern side of said road; thence
southerly across Section 173, Lot 5, D.P. 236, Stoney Creek Road,
Sections 1493, 1492, 1491, C.T. 232/131 and 1499, Bunnythorpe
Domain, Tutiaki Road, Sections 1484, 1483, 1482, 1481 and 1480,
Richardsons Line, Sections 1527 and part 513, Lots 3, 1, 2 and 6
D.P. 31927 and Roberts Line to the south-western side of Roberts
Line, all the above being in the Town of Bunnythorpe; thence south-
easterly along the south-western side of Roberts Line to and south-
westerly along the south-eastern side of the Palmerston North -
Gisborne Railway and along the south-western boundary of Section
1717, D.P. 50808 to the boundary of the Council’s area of supply.
The above being in Blocks III, VII and XI, Kairanga Survey District. -
Commencing at the Electricity Division’s Bunnythorpe
Substation and proceeding south-westerly across Lot 171, D.P. 217,
Redmayne Street, Lots 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65 and 66, D.P. 217,
Raymond Street to and south-easterly along the south-western side
of said street and across the Bunnythorpe-Ashhurst Road to the

southerly along the eastern side of the said railway and south-easterly
across Lots 2 and 1, D.P. 8472, Lots 2 and 3, D.P. 28378, Lots 1
and part 2, D.P. 12501 to and along the north-eastern side of
Palmerston North - Gisborne Railway; across Tremaine Avenue and
again south-westerly along the north-eastern side of said railway to
and southerly across the said railway and the western side of Mihaere
Drive to the boundary of the Councils area of supply. The above
being in Blocks III, VII and XI, Kairanga Survey District. -
Commencing at the Electricity Division’s Bunnythorpe
Substation and proceeding south-westerly across Lot 171, D.P. 217,
Redmayne Street, Lots 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65 and 66, D.P. 217,
Raymond Street, Stoney Creek Road and the North Island Main
Trunk Railway to and along the north-western side of Maple Street
to the north-eastern boundary of Section 1461; thence south-westerly
across Sections 1461, 1462, C.T. 261/152, C.T. 261/153, 1515, 1517,
Roberts Line and Sections part 519 and 516 all the aforesaid being
in the Town of Bunnythorpe to the north-eastern side of Settlers
Line; thence south-westerly across Settlers Line, Rural Sections 1660
and 1661, Milson Line, part Rural Sections 548 (C.T. 21/184) and
547 (C.T. 21/178), Rangitikei Line, Rural Section 432, Lot 2, D.P.
9987 and Gillespies Line to the south-western side of Gillespies
Line; thence south-easterly along the said side of Gillespies Line to
the north-eastern side and south-easterly along Gillespies
Line to the north-eastern side of Peters Avenue; thence across Gillespies
Line to the north-eastern side and south-easterly along said side
and across Tremaine Avenue to the boundary of the Councils area
of supply. The above being in Blocks III, IV, VII and X, Kairanga
Survey District.
The above lines being more particularly shown on plan NZE 2129
(Sheets 1 to 11).
- Commencing at the Electricity Division’s Linton Substation
and proceeding north-westerly then north-easterly across part Rural Section 179 to along the north-eastern boundary of part Rural Section
179 to the south-eastern side of Old West Road; thence south-
westerly along the south-eastern side of said road, and the southern
boundary of Rural Section 191 to and north-westerly along the north-
eastern boundaries of part Rural Sections 192 and 193 across No. 57
State Highway and across part Rural Section 200, part Rural Sections
202 and 201 and Lot 1, D.P. 7988 to and northerly across said Lot
1 and the Manawatu River to the boundary of the Councils area
of supply. The above being in Blocks XI, XIV and XV Kairanga
Survey District.
The line being more particularly shown on plans NZE 2117 and
NZE 2130.
The above plans being deposited in the office of the Electricity
Division of the Ministry of Energy at Wellington.

Electric Lines Licence
- Robert James Tizard, Minister of Energy, acting pursuant to
section 21 of the Electricity Act 1968, hereby licence the Invercargill
City Council hereinafter referred to as “the licensee”, to lay,
construct, put up, place or use the electric lines described in the
Schedule hereto. This licence is issued subject to the following
conditions:
CONDITIONS
-
This licence may be cited as the Invercargill City Council
Electric Lines Licence 1986. -
The licensee shall comply with the provisions of this licence,
the Electricity Act 1968 and all enactments made in amendment to
or substitution for that Act, any Electrical Codes of Practice made
under that Act, the Electrical Supply Relations 1984, the Electrical
Wiring Regulations 1976 and all regulations made in amendment
of or substitution for any of those regulations. -
Any notice to be given to the licensee shall be sufficient if sent
by registered post letter to the offices of the licensee. -
Any notice to be given on the part of the Minister of Energy
shall be sufficient if given in writing to or sent by registered post letter
addressed to the Secretary of Energy, Ministry of Energy, Wellington. -
Any notice to be given on the part of the Minister of Energy
shall be sufficient if given in writing signed by the Minister or by
any person acting under the authority of the Minister. -
The licence shall not be construed as granting a consent to
generate electricity pursuant to section 25 of the Electricity Act 1968. -
This licence shall come into force on the 10th day of November
1986 and shall continue in force for a period of 20 years from that
date unless it is sooner lawfully determined in accordance with
clauses 8 or 9 hereof. -
The Governor-General in Council may pursuant to section 22
of the Electricity Act 1968 cancel this licence if the licensee is in
breach of the provisions contained in clause 2 of these conditions. -
This licence may be cancelled by the Minister at the request
of or with the consent of the licensee. -
At the expiry or cancellation of this licence, the licensee shall
if so required by notice in writing by the Minister remove all
buildings, poles and other erections and all transmission lines, plant
and other machinery and other removable equipment authorised
by the licence to be erected, installed or provided and if within 12
months after being so required the licensee fails or neglects to remove
the same, then the same shall, without payment of any compensation
vest in and become the property of the Crown and it shall be lawful
for any person authorised by the Minister in that behalf, subject to
compliance with section 15A of the Electricity Act 1968 to enter
upon any land or premises and take possession of and remove the
same or any part thereof. -
Nothing contained in the licence either expressly or by
implication shall be deemed to authorise the licensee to erect,
construct or use any electric lines or works except subject to such
conditions (not inconsistent with the conditions of this licence and
the Electricity Act 1968 and regulations made thereunder) as may
from time to time be lawfully imposed by any local authority within
the district of which any such lines or work may be situated. -
The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraph (f)
of Regulation 13 of the Electrical Supply regulations 1984. -
The licensee shall, 6 months prior to the expiry of the term
of this licence provided in clause 7 herein, make written application
to the Minister of Energy for the granting of a new licence.
SCHEDULE
DESCRIPTION OF LINES
Lines for the transmission of electricity as follows:
-
Those cables within that part of the Council’s substation which
is not within the area of supply. The substation being in S.O. 8623. -
From a point on the Council’s boundary in Findlay Road 3
lines proceeding in an easterly direction for approximately 270
metres then in a northerly direction into part Lot 1, D.P. 2216 for
approximately 250 metres and easterly for approximately 60 metres. -
A line commencing at the substation mentioned in (1) above
and proceeding north-easterly for approximately 170 metres and
easterly for approximately 110 metres in part Lot 1, D.P. 2216. -
From point on the Council’s boundary approximately 232
metres north of the middle of Findlay Road and proceeding in an
easterly direction for approximately 260 metres, northerly for
approximately 45 metres and again easterly for approximately 68
metres in part Lot 1, D.P. 2216. -
Commencing from a point on the Council’s boundary and
proceeding in a north-easterly direction for approximately 450 metres
across part 3 of 43, S.O. 200 and then into Lot 3, D.P. 8051 all
being in Block II Invercargill Hundred.
