A86/Ch/59 Graeme William David Dore and Ross Winston Francis, Christchurch. Transfer Continuous Taxicab Service Licence No. 5424 from Brian Thomas Bartlett and Olive Dawn Mary Bartlett. On the above being granted to Graeme William David Dore and Ross Winston Francis application to amend Continuous Taxicab Service Licence No. 5424 with the following special condition:

The licensee may carry unaccompanied general goods in conjunction with the service authorised when his cab is hired by an individual for the express purpose of carrying an item or items of goods, for and on behalf of the hirer, when the hirer does not wish to accompany such goods, provided however:

  1. Hiring shall be undertaken only through the radio-telephone facilities of the association to which the licensee belongs.

  2. Charges for these hirings shall be in accordance with the scale of taxi charges as approved from time to time by the Secretary for Transport.

  3. Goods must be carried in closed luggage boot, or when cab authority being carried in an approved vehicle that has no boot, then in the area designated for the carriage of luggage by the Ministry of Transport.

  4. Any one item of goods must not exceed 10 kg gross weight.

  5. Neither the licensee nor the driver, nor any other person shall undertake any advertising or soliciting to encourage such hirings.

Declaring State Highway to be a Limited Access Road, State Highway No. 1

It is notified that the National Roads Board, by resolution dated 15 October 1986 and pursuant to section 153 of the Public Works Act 1981, hereby declares that part of State Highway No. 1 (Awamui-Bluff) from its junction with McKerrow Road to the Town of Bluff and from Hampden as more particularly shown on Sheets 1 to 2 of Plan LA 70/4/92 and accompanying schedule held in the office of the Resident Manager, Ministry of Works and Development, Dunedin and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.

Approval of Flashing or Revolving Green Lamps on Certain New Zealand Red Cross Society Inc. Vehicles

PURSUANT to subclause (1) of regulation 88 of the Traffic Regulations 1976 approval is hereby granted, for the purposes of subclause (8) of regulation 67 of the said regulations, to the fitting of one flashing or revolving green lamp on any New Zealand Red Cross Society Inc. vehicle as described in the Schedule hereto, for use when dispatched in response to emergency calls only.

SCHEDULE

New Zealand Red Cross Society Inc. “Emergency Relief Team” four-wheel drive vehicles equipped for off-road rescue and casualty situations.

The vehicles are painted white with a red cross and geographical name on front doors and display the words NZ RED CROSS and EMERGENCY RELIEF marked in red on the rear of the vehicles, together with the vehicle number.

Pursuant to powers delegated to me by the Secretary for Transport by an instrument of delegation dated the 28th day of March 1985.
