Transport Licensing Authority Sitting

PURSUANT to sections 121 and 135 of the Transport Act 1962 as amended by the Transport Amendment Act No. 2, 1983, the No. 5A Transport District Licensing Authority (W. O’Brien), gives notice of the receipt of the following applications and will hold a public sitting to receive evidence or representations, whether submitted in writing or presented in person on or against the granting of them in the Small Claims Tribunal Room, Gisborne Courthouse, Read Quay, Gisborne, commencing Thursday, 30 October 1986 at 2.30 p.m. Applicants must be present or represented. All documents for alteration must be handled in at the sitting.

A5A/86/140 Eric George Wilcox (trading as Red Bus Service), Gisborne. Amend Passenger Service Licence No. 10246 by the following amendments:

(A) Service: Gisborne—Te Karaka—Whatatutu. Friday night: Delete “Depart Alleys Puha 11.20 p.m.”, delete “arrive Whatatutu 11.30 p.m.”.

(B) Service: Whatatutu—Te Karaka—Gisborne. Friday night: Delete depart Whatatutu 11.30 p.m. Delete depart Puha 11.40 p.m. Amend depart Te Karaka to 11.10 p.m. Amend depart Waipaoa to 11.20 p.m. Amend depart Ormond to 11.25 p.m. Amend depart Makaraka to 11.30 p.m. Amend arrive Gisborne to 11.40 p.m.

(C) The licensee shall be authorised to set the timetable or frequency of the services on the route or routes over which the licence is granted.

(a) Any proposed alteration shall be notified in writing to the Licensing Authority who may then exercise its discretion as to whether or not a hearing shall be required and the licensee shall also give public notice of the alteration in at least one newspaper circulating in the area not less than 21 days before the proposed alteration comes into effect.

(b) Such advertisement shall state that any person who considers that they will be affected by the proposed alteration in service may, within 14 days of the date of the public notice, request the appropriate Licensing Authority to consider the proposed alteration at a public hearing pursuant to sections 135, 121 and 123 of the Transport Act 1962.

The Standards Act 1965—Corrigendum to Draft New Zealand Standard

A corrigendum has been issued to the following draft New Zealand Standard:

DZ 4203 General structural design and design loadings for buildings.

To take this corrigendum into account, the period of time for comment has been extended to 24 December 1986.
