PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the under-mentioned overseas specifications are being considered for endorsement as suitable for use in New Zealand.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—South Canterbury Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A (14) of the Sale of Liquor Act, 1962 as amended by section 22 (1) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, David Oughton, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the South Canterbury Licensing Committee on 5 September 1986 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the Old Bank Tavern.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(b) On any Saturday (not being Xmas or New Year's Eve)— Opening at 11 o'clock in the morning and closing at 11 o'clock in the evening.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Hurunui Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A (14) of the Sale of Liquor Act, 1962 as amended by section 22 (1) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, David Oughton, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Hurunui Licensing Committee on 26 March 1986 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the Woodend Motor Inn.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday— Opening at 10 o'clock in the morning and closing at 9 o'clock in the evening.

(b) On any Friday, Saturday and Xmas Eve—Opening at 10 o'clock in the morning and closing at 10 o'clock in the evening.

On New Year's Eve—Opening at 10 o'clock in the morning and closing at 11.30 o'clock in the evening on New Year's Eve.

Customs Exchange Rates Notice (No. 19) 1986

PURSUANT to section 143 of the Customs Act 1966, the Comptroller of Customs, in accordance with the power delegated to him by the Minister of Customs under section 9 of that Act, hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. Short title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Customs Exchange Rates Notice (No. 19) 1986.
    (2) This notice shall come into force on the 29th day of September 1986.

  2. Exchange rates—Where under any provisions of the Customs Act 1966 any amount which is required to be taken into account for the purpose of assessing duty or any other purpose is not an amount in New Zealand currency, the amount to be so taken into account shall be the equivalent in New Zealand currency of that amount ascertained in accordance with the rate of exchange set out in the Schedule to this notice.

  3. Revocation—The Customs Exchange Rates Notice (No. 18) 1986, published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 138, dated 4th September 1986, on page 3730 is hereby revoked.
