Classification of Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, the Minister of Lands, hereby classifies the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, as a government purpose reserve (site for a tourist hotel) subject to the provisions of the said Act.

Central Institute of Technology Notice 1986

Pursuant to section 69 of the Education Act 1964, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice:

NOTICE

  1. (1) This notice shall be cited as the Central Institute of Technology Notice 1986.

    (2) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette.

  2. There shall be a Board of Governors to be known as the Council of the Central Institute of Technology which shall control the Central Institute of Technology.

  3. The Council of the Central Institute of Technology shall be constituted as follows:

    (a) One member appointed by the New Zealand Employers' Federation;

    (b) One member appointed by the New Zealand Manufacturers' Federation (Inc.);

    (c) One member who shall be Chairman of the State Services Coordinating Committee or that person's nominee;

    (d) One member appointed by the Hospital Boards' Association of New Zealand;

    (e) One member appointed by the New Zealand Federation of Labour;

    (f) Two members appointed by the Combined State Unions, at least one of whom shall be employed in the health services sector and at least one of whom shall be a woman;

    (g) One member who shall be the Director-General of Education or that person's nominee;

    (h) One member who shall be the Principal of the Central Institute of Technology;

    (i) One member who shall represent the teaching staff of the Central Institute of Technology who shall be elected by full-time teachers employed by the Council;

    (j) One member who shall represent the non-teaching staff of the Central Institute of Technology who shall be elected by the full-time non-teaching staff of the Institute and “Part-time” and “Limited-time” officers as defined in the Education Department Authorities Employment Regulations 1982 and who shall be employed full-time by the Council or employed as a part-time or limited-time officer;

    (k) Two members (at least one of whom shall be a woman) who shall represent the students of the Central Institute of Technology and who shall be appointed by the Central Institute of Technology Students Union for a term of office of 1 year and who shall be students of the Institute;

    (l) One member appointed by the Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand (Inc.);

    (m) One member appointed by the Pharmaceutical Society of New Zealand;

    (n) One member who shall be the Director-General of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research or that person's nominee;

    (o) One member who shall be the Secretary of Women's Affairs or that person's nominee;
