Transport Licensing Authority Sittings

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Auckland Transport Licensing Authority, the No. 2, Transport District Licensing Authority and Harbour Ferry Licensing Authority (J. M. Foster), gives notice of the receipt of the following applications and will hold a public sitting in the Conference Room, Ninth Floor, Customhouse, Quay Street, Auckland at the time and date stated to hear evidence for or against granting them.

Monday, 4 August 1986 at 10 a.m.

T2/429 Auckland Co-operative Taxi Society Ltd.—
(1) Increase operating levies from $120 to $160 per month.
(2) Institute a new additional levy of $30 per month for licensees who have more than one permit to drive a taxicab.
(3) Increase additional levies paid by licensees operating under a continuing membership to $30 per month.
(4) Institute a new entrance fee of $900 in accordance with the society’s registered rules, rule 4(d).

Delete existing timetable and route description and substitute new timetable and route description. A copy of the new timetable is available for inspection at the office of the Auckland Regional Authority, First Floor, Bus Place, 131 Hobson Street, Auckland or the office of the Secretary, Transport Licensing Authority, Ninth Floor, Customhouse Building, Quay Street, Auckland.

T2/401 Frederick David Clark and Rosalie Kay Clark: A new Taxicab Service Licence with one public hire cab authority to operate a total mobility van from the North Shore taxi area to any point within New Zealand.

T2/389 South Auckland Taxi Association Ltd. and Licensees: Amend the listed taxicab service licences by adding the following condition.

“The licensee may carry unaccompanied general goods in conjunction with the service authorised when his cab is hired for the express purpose of carrying an item or items of goods, for and on behalf of the hirer, when the hirer does not wish to accompany such goods, provided however:

(i) Charges for these hirings shall be in accordance with the scale of taxi charges as approved from time to time by the Secretary for Transport.

(ii) Wherever practical goods must be carried in the closed luggage compartment.

(iii) Any one item of goods must not exceed 20 kilograms gross weight.

(iv) Neither the licensee, nor the driver, nor any other person shall undertake any advertising or soliciting to encourage such hirings.”
