Notice of Public Hearing
PURSUANT to sections 120, 121 and 135 of the Transport Act 1962, the No. 5B Transport Licensing Authority, (I. P. Wollerman), has received the under-mentioned applications and will hold a public sitting at Hastings City Council Chambers, Lyndon Road, Hastings, commencing at 10.30 a.m. on Monday, 4 February 1985 and continuing on to Tuesday, 5 February 1985.
Evidence-in-chief of applicants and their witnesses must be presented in writing at the hearing. Copies are to be made available for the Authority and likely objectors. Adjoined applications have not been re-advertised.
R. F. & R. A. Dunbar Limited, Daily Freightways Depot, Caroline Road, Hastings. Application for a new Goods Service Licence with the following special condition for 5 vehicles and 1 trailer:
“The carriage of general goods with exemption from section 109 (1) of the Transport Act 1962 within the area bounded by Wairoa in the north and Takapau in the south such goods having been or to be conveyed by rail from or to Napier or Hastings rail.”
Midland Bulk Services Limited, Manchester Street, Hastings. Amend Transport Service Licence No. 10207 by adding the following special condition for 2 vehicles and 2 trailers. “With exemption from section 109 (1) of the Transport Act 1962 for:
(a) General goods carried between Hastings and Napier which have been, or are to be, conveyed by rail, and
(b) General goods carried by road between Hastings - Napier - Hamilton and Te Awamutu or any number of those cities, whether by direct route or indirect route, where the goods if carried direct and by the shortest road route, would not have required a permit pursuant to section 113G of the Transport Act 1962.”
