Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Waikato Licensing Committee
PURSUANT to section 221A and 221B of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962 as amended by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Stanley James Callahan, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Waikato Licensing Committee on 11 December 1984 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the Oxford Royal Hotel.
To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:
(a) On any Christmas Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.
(b) On any New Year’s Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 00.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.

NOTICE is hereby given of decision No. 109 of the Commerce Commission dated 10 January 1985.
By this decision the Commission consents to the merger or takeover proposal whereby Briarley Investments Limited may acquire up to 40 percent of the issued capital of Dominion Breweries Limited.

The provisions of section 109 (1) of the Transport Act 1962 shall not apply to the carriage on eight vehicles of packaged beer (being bottled or canned beer in crates or cartons) the property of the licensee between Timaru/Christchurch and return and the backloading of crates and empty bottles.

- One Vehicle: (a) Exempt from section 109 (1) of the Transport Act 1962 for the carriage of petroleum products (not being motor spirit (petrol) or gas oil) within the No. 6 Goods Service District provided that the aggregate tonnage of any one product to be carried under the terms of this exemption, or the exemptions contained in other licences with similar rights, within the normal bulk distribution area of any bulk petroleum depot of Shell Oil (N.Z.) Limited, does not exceed 1000T per annum.
(b) Exempt from section 109 (1) of the Transport Act 1962 for petroleum products within the No. 6 Goods Service District.

All carriage under the terms of these exemptions shall be for and on behalf of Shell Oil (N.Z.) Limited.

Shell Oil (N.Z.) Limited shall keep a record of all petroleum products delivered in accordance with Condition 1 (a) and this record shall be made available for inspection on request by any duly authorised officer of the Ministry of Transport or New Zealand Railways on reasonable notice.
