Transport Licensing Authority Sittings

PURSUANT to sections 109 and 135 of the Transport Act 1962, the No. 10 Transport District Licensing Authority (F. H. K. Moore), gives notice of the receipt of the following application and will hold a public sitting in the Conference Room, Ministry of Transport, 245 Cumberland Street, Dunedin on Thursday, 11 April 1985 to receive evidence for or against the granting of it:

A85/10/18 H. and H. Travel Lines Ltd.: Amend Passenger Service Licence No. 07462 by adding the right to carry parcels between Invercargill and Dunedin and return with exemption from section 109(1) of the Transport Act 1962 and subject to the following conditions:

  1. The licensee is authorised to carry parcels in conjunction with passenger services authorised.
  2. Parcels shall be carried only in those parts of the licensees vehicles which are designed to carry baggage.
  3. No parcels save passengers hand luggage shall be carried in the accommodation provided for passengers.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Chartered Club—Southland Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by section 22(14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Stanley James Callahan, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Southland Licensing Committee on 30 January 1985 made an order varying the order it previously made in respect of the usual hours of trading for the Chartered Club known as the Mataura Returned Services Association (Incorporated) and which was promulgated in the New Zealand Gazette, dated 11 April 1979, No. 30, page 1096.

To the intent that on days other than those on which Chartered Club are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to its members the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On any Friday (not being New Year’s Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(4) Any one item carried not to exceed 10 kgs gross weight.

(5) Neither the licensee nor the driver nor any other person shall undertake any advertising or soliciting to encourage such hirings.
