(b) The actions of the Returning Officer appointed by the Ashburton County Council—
(i) In giving public notice in form 2 in the First Schedule to the Local Elections and Polls Act 1976 and in appointing in that notice a place for the nomination of candidates and a closing day and time for the receipt of such nominations, being noon on the 8th day of February 1985; and
(ii) In closing nominations at noon on the 8th day of February 1985; and
(iii) In conducting the election by postal vote pursuant to a resolution of the Ashburton County Council; and
(iv) In issuing voting papers under section 68 of the Local Elections and Polls Act 1976, in the period beginning on the 1st day of March 1985 and ending on the 8th day of March 1985; and
(c) All other actions of the Ashburton County Council, of the principal administrative officer of the Ashburton County Council, or of the Returning Officer appointed by the Ashburton County Council that would have been valid if clause 2 of this order and paragraphs (a) and (b) of this clause had been in force when they were performed.
