(b) One member to be appointed by the New Zealand Stevedoring Employers’ Association Inc.;
(c) One member to be appointed by the New Zealand Association of Waterfront Employers’ Industrial Association of Employers;
(d) One member to be appointed by the Secretary of Transport;
(e) One member to be appointed by the Chief Executive Officer of the Vocational Training Council;
(f) One member to be appointed jointly by the New Zealand Waterside Workers Federation Industrial Association of Workers and the New Zealand Stevedores’ Union;
(g) One member who shall be the Chief Executive of the New Zealand Association of Waterfront Employers’ Industrial Association of Employers.
- (1) Subject to this clause the appointed members shall hold office for a period of 3 years, but may from time to time be re-appointed.
(2) If any member dies or resigns his office by writing under his hand addressed to the Board or the chairman or the secretary thereof or is absent without leave from the meetings of the Board for three consecutive meetings, or while holding office becomes for any reason ineligible to remain a member, the casual vacancy so created shall be filled as soon as practicable thereafter by appointment in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed, and the member appointed to fill the vacancy shall hold office for the residue of the term of office of the member whom he replaces.
(3) Unless he sooner vacates his office every appointed member of the Board shall continue in office until his successor comes into office.
(4) The powers of the Board shall not be affected by any vacancy in the membership thereof.
- (1) A deputy member may be appointed, in the same manner as an appointed member, to be the deputy of that member and act in the event of the absence of that member from any meeting of the Board.
(2) While any person is acting pursuant to subclause (1) of this clause he shall be deemed to be a full member of the Board. The fact that any person so acts shall be sufficient evidence of his authority to do so.

The Board established by this notice is hereby declared to be the same Waterfront Training Organisation as that established by the Waterfront Training Organisation Notice 1974* and in existence immediately before the commencement of this Gazette notice.

The Waterfront Training Organisation Notice 1974 is hereby revoked.

Notice Prohibiting Fishing in Part of the Waitaki River
(Notice No. 3448; Ag. 9/2/0)
PURSUANT to section 70 of the Fisheries Act 1983, I hereby declare that no person shall fish for, or take, any fish at any time during the period commencing with the date of publication of this notice in the Gazette, expiring with the 30th day of April 1985:
(a) From that part of the Waitaki River enclosed by a line drawn from the site of a white post on the north bank situated approximately 100 m west of the Waitaki Salmon Company’s fish farm discharge channel; to the site of a white post set opposite on the south bank; thence in a generally easterly direction along the south bank to the site of a white post situated approximately 100 m east of the aforesaid discharge channel; then to the site of a white post set opposite on the north bank; thence in a generally westerly direction along the north bank to the point of commencement; or
(b) From the Waitaki Salmon Company’s fish farm discharge channel between Bells Pond and the Waitaki River.

LPG Fuel System Approvals
PURSUANT to regulation 90B of the Traffic Regulations 1976* (as inserted by the Traffic Regulations 1976, Amendment No. 7) and pursuant to the powers delegated to me by the Secretary for Transport, I, Robert Norman Abram, Chief Automotive Engineer, hereby approve the components listed in the Schedule hereto for inclusion in any LPG fuel system installed and operated in accordance with the requirements of New Zealand Standard NZS 5422, Part 2, 1980 (and any standard made in amendment thereto or in substitution therefor).
