Latta from the Treasury, namely, the third paragraph of a file note made on 14 October 1985 by a Treasury officer concerning a conversation on the telephone that day with an officer of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, should not be made available to Mr Latta notwithstanding the Chief Ombudsman’s recommendation to that effect under section 30 (1) of the Official Information Act 1982 (the “Act”), and accordingly, pursuant to section 32 (1) (a) of the Act, I hereby direct you not to release such information.
