Declaring Railway Land at Christchurch Now Set Apart for State Housing Purposes

Pursuant to sections 24 and 30 of the New Zealand Railways Corporation Act 1981 and section 52 of the Public Works Act 1981, the General Manager of the New Zealand Railways Corporation with the prior written consent of the Minister of Railways hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart, subject to the Housing Act 1955, for State housing purposes.

Pursuant to section 7 of the International Air Services Licensing Act 1947, notice is hereby given that United Air Lines, Inc. of Chicago, United States of America, has applied for an international air service licence to operate a scheduled air service for the carriage of passengers, cargo and mail over the following routes:

  1. Los Angeles - Honolulu - Auckland - Sydney and return.
  2. Melbourne - Sydney - Auckland - Honolulu - Los Angeles.

Further details of the proposal may be obtained from the Secretary for Transport, Ministry of Transport, Private Bag, Wellington.

Any person or organisation wishing to make representations in relation to this application must forward those representations in writing to reach me on or before 29 November 1985.

Fixing Rate of Hive Levy (Notice No. 3618; Ag. 4/54/19)

Pursuant to section 3 of the Hive Levy Act 1978, having received the recommendation of the National Beekeepers’ Association of New Zealand Incorporated, I hereby fix the annual rate of levy for 1986 at 25 cents a hive.

This levy is to be paid by the association in accordance with sections 4, 5 and 6 of the Hive Levy Act 1978 by every person who is a beekeeper on the 1st day of January 1986.

I, Richard William Prebble, Minister of Transport, having obtained the concurrence of the Minister of Finance pursuant to section 143A (3) of the Harbours Act 1950, hereby approve pursuant to section 143A (1)(a) and section 143C (b)(ii) of the Harbours Act 1950, the sale by way of exchange of the land referred to in the Schedule hereto by the Lyttelton Harbour Board pursuant to section 143C of the said Act and I specify that my approval hereunder is effective from the date hereof.
