Maori Land Development Notice
PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives notice as follows:

This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development Notice Whangarei 1985, No. 3.

The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby revoked.

The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation
PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a burial ground for the common use and benefit of the Maori people of the Waotu District.

ALL that piece of land situated in Block XVI, Maungatautari Survey District and Block IV, Wherepapa Survey District and described as follows:

Excluding Land From a Maori Reservation
WHEREAS by notice in the New Zealand Gazette, 29 November 1962, No. 77, the land described in the First Schedule hereto was set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a meeting place for the common use and benefit of the members of the Ngati Turanga hapu of the Raukawa tribe.
And whereas it is now desired to reduce the reservation to exclude the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.
Now therefore pursuant to section 439 (5) (a) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, it is hereby declared that the land described in the Second Schedule hereto is excluded from the aforesaid Maori reservation.

ALL that piece of land situated in Block XIV, Te Kawai Survey District and described as follows:

4.8703 Himatangi 2A1B.
SECOND SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land situated in Block XIV, Te Kawai Survey District and described as follows:
Area ha Being
1.4817 Part Himatangi 2A1B as shown on a plan held by the Maori Land Court at Wanganui.

Redefining Purposes of Maori Reservation
PURSUANT to section 439 (5) (c) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, notice is hereby given that the purpose of the land described in the Schedule hereto, which forms part of the Maori reservation created by notice in the New Zealand Gazette, 24 September 1964, No. 58, page 1590, for the purposes of a marae for the common use and benefit of the Ruapuha hapu of the Ngati Maniapoto tribe is hereby redefined as being a Maori reservation for the purpose of a burial ground for the common use and benefit of the Ruapuha hapu of the Ngati Maniapoto tribe.
