NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON LOAN PROPOSAL
PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the City of Auckland taken on the 12th day of July 1985 on the proposal of the Auckland City Council to borrow the sum of $7,000,000 for the purpose of contributing to part of the cost of the construction of the Aotea Centre complex, resulted in:
The number of votes recorded for the proposed loan was 8783.
The number of votes recorded against the proposed loan was 11622.
The number of informal votes was 245.
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.
