The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Amendment Available for Comment

Pursuant to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft amendment is being circulated.

Number and Title of Specification

DZ 5227/AA Draft Amendment A to BS 3481:Part 2:1983 Flat woven webbing lifting slings, made of man-made fibre, for general service. Gratis.

This draft amendment is now place on record the declaration of BS 3481:Part 2:1983 as a New Zealand Standard superseding the 1970 edition.

All persons who may be affected by this publication and who desire to comment thereon may obtain copies from the Standards Association of New Zealand, Wellington Trade Centre, 15–23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.

The closing date for receipt of comment is 18 October 1985.

The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Amendment Available for Comment

Pursuant to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft amendment is being circulated.

Number and Title of Specification

DZ 5425:Part 1/A1 Draft Amendment No. 1 to NZS 5425:—Code of practice for CNG compressor and refuelling stations—Part 1:1980 On site storage and location of equipment.

Gratis.

This amendment adds a new clause giving specifications for gas pressure control procedures as they relate to CNG transfer. The new clause will supersede the specifications given in clause 10.1.3 of this standard which will then be deleted.

All persons who may be affected by this publication and who desire to comment thereon may obtain copies from the Standards Association of New Zealand, Wellington Trade Centre, 15–23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.

The closing date for receipt of comment is 16 September 1985.

The Standards Act 1965—Corrigendum to Standard Specification

A corrigendum has been issued to NZS 3605:1977 Specification for load bearing round timber piles and poles.

This replaces the table in Clause 5.1.

Copies of the corrigendum are available free of charge from the Standards Association of New Zealand, Wellington Trade Centre, 15–23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.

Customs Exchange Rates Notice (No. 8) 1985

Pursuant to section 143 of the Customs Act 1966, the Comptroller of Customs, in accordance with the power delegated to him by the Minister of Customs under section 9 of that Act, hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. Short title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Customs Exchange Rates Notice (No. 8) 1985.

    (2) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of August 1985.

  2. Exchange rates—Where under any provisions of the Customs Act 1966 any amount which is required to be taken into account for the purpose of assessing duty or any other purpose is not an amount in New Zealand currency, the amount to be so taken into account shall be the equivalent in New Zealand currency of that amount ascertained in accordance with the rate of exchange set out in the Schedule to this notice.

  3. Revocation—The Customs Exchange Rate Notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 122, dated 27 June 1985, on page 2726 is hereby revoked.
