In the notice with the above heading published in the New Zealand Gazette, 11 July 1985, No. 130, page 2991, in clause 1(1) for "Canterbury and Marlborough" read "Wellington and Hawke's Bay".

The Waiu Irrigation Amendment Order 1985

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 15th day of July 1985
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council
Pursuant to sections 55 and 208 of the Public Works Act 1981, His Excellency the Governor-General acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council hereby amends the Order in Council dated the 22nd day of August 1977 and published in the Gazette of 1 September 1977, No. 94, at pages 2382 and 2383, by the following Order:
ORDER

This Order may be cited as the Waiu Irrigation Amendment Order 1985 and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Waiu Plains Irrigation Order 1977 (hereinafter referred to as the Principal Order).

This Order shall come into force 7 days after it is published in the Gazette.

The Waiu Plains Irrigation Order 1977 shall hereafter for all purposes be called the Waiu Irrigation Order 1977 and every reference therein to the "Waiu Plains" shall be amended to refer simply to "Waiau".

The Waiu Plains Irrigation District shall hereafter for all purposes be called the Waiau Irrigation District.

Clause 4 of the principal Order is hereby amended by omitting the words "farm development plan has been agreed upon" and substituting the words "Water Availability Agreement has been entered into".

It is hereby declared and specified that hereafter the irrigation season shall be a period commencing on the 1st day of August and ending on the 31st day of May next following.

The Waiau Irrigation District specified in the Second Schedule to the principal Order is hereby amended by including the land firstly and secondly described in the First Schedule hereto, and by excluding the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

The Third Schedule to the principal Order is hereby amended by omitting the word "after" from the subheading "Season After Water is Made Available".
FIRST SCHEDULE
ADDITIONAL LAND INCLUDED IN THE WAIAU IRRIGATION DISTRICT
FIRSTLY: all that area in the Canterbury Land District, Amuri and Cheviot Counties, containing 2289.0 hectares, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the north-western side of Lowry Peaks Road in line with the south-western boundary of part Lot 1, D.P. 3100, certificate of title 822/96, situated in Block VIII, Culverden Survey District; being a point on the south-eastern boundary of the Waiau Irrigation District, Gazette, 1977, page 2382; thence proceeding south-easterly to and along the said south-western boundary to the road forming the south-eastern boundary of the said lot; thence north-easterly along the said roadside to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 17126, thence south-easterly and south-westerly to and along the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of the said Lot 2 and its production across a legal road to and along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 17126 and its production to and along the north-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 24351 to the westernmost corner of the said Lot 1, thence south-easterly and south-westerly generally along the south-western boundary of the said Lot 1 and the generally north-western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 24351 and its production to the south-western side of the road forming the south-western boundary of the said Lot 2, D.P. 24351; thence south-easterly along the said roadside and the north-eastern boundary of part Lot 1, D.P. 4351, part certificate of title 25B/637 to the easternmost corner thereof; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of the said part Lot 1, crossing Kaiwara Road; thence along the south-eastern boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 43687 and Lot 2, D.P. 38241 to the southernmost point thereof; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of the said Lot 2 to south-eastern side of Kaiwara Road; thence by a right line to southernmost point of Lot 1, D.P. 38241; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 38241 to a point on the south-western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 13318 being a point on the south-eastern boundary of the Waiau Irrigation District; Gazette,1977, page 2382; thence generally
