PURSUANT to sections 119, 120, 121 and 135 of the Transport Act 1962 as amended by the Transport Amendment Act No.2 1983, the Wellington District and No. 7 Transport Licensing Authority, L. P. Wollandman gives notice of the receipt of the following applications and will hold a public sitting to hear evidence for or against the granting of them in the Conference Room, Second Floor, Pearse House, corner Wills and Ghuznee Streets, Wellington, commencing Wednesday, 13 February 1985 at 10.30 am. Special Conditions:

  1. Hirings to be undertaken only through the radio telephone facilities.
  2. Charges for these hirings shall be in accordance with the scale of taxi charges as approved from time to time by the Secretary for Transport.
  3. Goods must be carried in the closed luggage boot.
  4. Any one item carried not to exceed 10 kgs gross weight.
  5. Neither the licensee nor the driver nor any other person shall undertake any advertising or soliciting to encourage such hirings.

Interim Decision

The applicant appealed for amendments to the warrant for 2YC. The station under warrant AM-7 is used principally to originate the Concert Programme in medium frequency transmissions from 1YC Auckland, 3YC Christchurch and 4YC Dunedin and through some National Programme transmitters in other areas for short periods. Three amendments were applied for.
