CORRIGENDUM
Amendment to the New Zealand Forest Service—Schedule of Contracts for Sale of Wood of $6,000 or More in Value
In the notice with the above heading published in the New Zealand Gazette of 10 January 1985, No. 1, page 28, the entry under the heading "Log Sale on Ride (Thinnings)" should be under a heading entitled "Standing Tree (Thinnings)".
Also the volume of 33 156 square metres should read 3300 cubic metres and the value of $75,000 should read $74,646.

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949, I, The Honourable Sir David Stuart Beattie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Hawke's Bay Education Board as a site for a public school, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

Hawke's Bay Land District—Napier City
424 square metres, more or less, being Lot 3, D.P. 6361, situated in Block IV, Heretaunga Survey District. Part New Zealand Gazette, 1951, page 323. V21/8.1.

A PROCLAMATION

The Union of Ohaupo Drainage District and Ngaroto Drainage District Order 1985

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 27th day of May 1985
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council
Pursuant to section 36 of the Local Government Act 1974, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order:
ORDER
1. Title and commencement—(1) This order may be cited as the Union of the Ohaupo Drainage District and the Ngaroto Drainage District Order 1985.
(2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of June 1985.
2. Union of Drainage Districts—The Ohaupo Drainage District and the Ngaroto Drainage District shall be united to form one district under the name of "The Ohaupo-Ngaroto Drainage District", (referred to in this order as "the united district") and shall be deemed to have been united under section 15 of the Land Drainage Act 1908.
3. Land Drainage Act 1908 to Apply to Union—Except as provided in this order, the provisions of the Land Drainage Act 1908 shall apply to the united district.
4. Subdivisions of United District—The united district shall have two subdivisions to be known as the Ohaupo Subdivision, being the area of the former Ohaupo Drainage District, and the Ngaroto Subdivision, being the area of the former Ngaroto Drainage District.
5. Board of Trustees—The board of trustees of the united district shall be known as "The Ohaupo-Ngaroto Drainage Board" (referred to in this order as "the board"), and shall be deemed to have been constituted under the Land Drainage Act 1908.
6. Representation—For the purposes of representation the board shall comprise 6 trustees, three to be elected from within, and to represent, the Ohaupo Subdivision of the united district and three to be elected from within, and to represent, the Ngaroto Subdivision of the united district, such elections to be in accordance with the provisions of the Land Drainage Act 1908.
7. Transitional Membership—Until the trustees of the board to be elected at the 1986 triennial general election of members of local authorities come into office, the board shall comprise the trustees of the uniting boards holding office immediately prior to union; and the trustees so continuing in office shall appoint one of their number as chairman.
8. Transfer of powers, functions and responsibilities—The board, in respect of the united district:
(a) Shall have and may exercise and be responsible for all the powers, duties, acts of authority, and functions which were previously exercised, or which would have been so exercised, by the Ohaupo and Ngaroto Drainage Boards;
(b) Shall have and may exercise and be responsible for all liabilities, obligations, engagements, and contracts which were, or which would have been, the responsibility of the Ohaupo and Ngaroto Drainage Boards;
(c) Shall have and may exercise and be responsible for all actions, suits, and proceedings pending by or against, or which would have been, the responsibility of the Ohaupo and Ngaroto Drainage Boards;
(d) Shall succeed to the bylaws which are in force and which are applicable to the board's altered circumstances and, until revoked or altered by the board, every such bylaw shall remain in force in the areas in which it was in force immediately before the union of the Ohaupo and Ngaroto Drainage Districts;
(e) Shall succeed to all rates, levies and other money payable to the Ohaupo and Ngaroto Drainage Boards;
(f) Shall succeed to all valuation rolls, ratepayers lists and rate records in force in the Ohaupo and Ngaroto Drainage Districts and such rolls, lists and records shall remain in force until new ones are made by the board for the united district.
9. Vesting of Property—All property, real or personal, vested in the corporations of the Ohaupo and Ngaroto Drainage Districts, shall, subject to all existing encumbrances, vest in the corporation of the united district.
10. Chairman and Secretary—The chairman and secretary of the board shall exercise the duties, powers and functions of the chairmen and secretaries of the Ohaupo and Ngaroto Drainage Boards.
